Thanks mate ;-) And no I never have thought of being a machinist I have however had some time on lathes and mills in previous years and if I ever get some cash together will get myself a small mill for my home workshop :-) I'm on a permanant disability pension so money is rather tight most of the time unfortunately.

I can not believe you did that with a dremel and a drill press...

BTW is there somewhere online that you can get good quality cutting tools for dremels that can cut copper and aluminum?
Takes a little practice to get the size of the channels down to how you see them now, if you check my older waterblocks you will see it wasn't always as 'fine' as it is now, :-)

I buy all my reinforced cuttoff disks from eBay couple of local sellers have 25 disks for 5 bucks EXCELLENT value.

OH...and the MX5000 has never missed a beat since i popped the usb dongle on a lead away from back of pc and updated the Logitech software...actual ATM using standard Vista drivers...works a treat, I often sit on my lounge with keyboard and mouse and game on ly 109cm screen so i needed the BlueTooth capability.

As mentioned above practice LoL...I also do pre-drill the block with small drill bit to the desired depth (4mm in this case) and then simply
'join the holes' Joining pre-drilled holes that have been done on the press after center punching the copper is a lil easier than going straight at it with a cutt-off disk and dremel....although can be done :-P
