    Symphy`s 3 stager

So as I promised, new unit for Symphy, 3 stage cascade (with some extras from me, like I stage autocascading).

    Compressors - 15800btu, 10000btu, 10000btu
    Condenser - brand new 1,9kW
Evap - chilly1 clone, made by Duniek.
    Gases - R290/R23/R1150/R14/Argon
Safety devices - two cut-off devices (for low and high side) and one relief valve.
Heat exchangers - two "pipe in pipe" HX for autocascading stage and one plate HX for R1150/R14.
Extras - maybe SLHX, expansion tanks, manometers .

Expected temps...For sure about -50C loaded on I stage, that should give me nice second stage temps and finally third stage temps too, so if everything will go in good way we will see -150C -125C loaded would be great.

    Plate HX

evap not cleaned yet, I had really hard job with that sleeve because of insulation, which is...32mm thick ! Really crazy, but I want to minimalize heat losses on suction line.

The most important - safety. Two cut-off devices with auto-reset and one relief valve. Wdrzal

Expansion tank, I`ve got one more in my cellar.

Brand new condenser with fan. (lol, like almost everything, only 15800btu rotary isn`t new).

    Three hearts of the system.

    Everything together.

I must finish that unit until 9 of march, so I have a lot to do ! Probably everyone who want see that unit in real, just can go to CeBIT and see it.

Wish me luck guys, I will need it !

Insulation near evap is ...overklill .

    I don't think that LGs are 10000 BTU, rather 8500-9000 BTU .

    I wish You luck .

    go for it Luke!

bare in mind that argon will only boost R14 below -105, methane would be better option for last stage

how many lts is that exp tank?

It's a ~ 7900Btu/h... same one than my late second stage. I'll use it for a SS now.

    Good luck buddy

I wanted to use Temprite oil separators, but don`t have them. So probably I will make two from 35mm pipe (about 40cm tall).

Ditto all the above Luke. That insualtion near evap is ugly as sin. I like the thickness of the rest of the suction line, guessing thats 32mm OD....?

I would defo change it, ether layer it nicer or cover it up!

Yeah maybe just move to a solid tube like donut, instead of tape.

Erhmmm....the rest of suction line`s insulation has 32mm walls...Near the evap I think it`s about 40mm, maybe less.

I think it`s ok, here is not miss world competition but xtreme cooling, we are at XtremeSystems or at Miss World 2007 ?
