It's effecting my wirless USB dongle more then my Logitech MX3100 USB keyboard/mouse.

They are all USB 2.0, has anyone else experienced USB issues with these recent bios releases?
after installing the intel inf update, i'd have to go into my device manager and uninstall/reinstall my usb root hubs. at first glance everything looked fine, but when i expanded out my usb root hub half of the entries had yellow exclamations, so uninstall them all then rescan for hardware changes and they come back fine. have to do them individually which sucked, but worked for me.

It's a German site, so their English translations aren't great for what they list as improvements, but here goes:

    1. Enhance FSB frequency flexibility
    2. Fix OC for Allendale CPUen
    3. Micron D9 1000 MHz 4-4-4-12 2.2V
    4. Micron D9 1100 MHz 5-5-5-15 2.3V
    5. Micron D9 1200 MHz 5-8-8-20 2.35V
    6. Fix ColdStart
    7. Fix Vdrop in C1E Funktion
    8. New Feature - High Speed DRAM DLL Setting
    9. Intel HPET Support
    10. FSB 1333 MHz support (Auto ab Rev.3.3)
    11. JMicron ROM update
    12. BIOS Profilspeicherung m glich
    13. Q-Flash jetzt mit USB-Stick m glich
Out that list i could only verify #8, strange feature that has Option 1 and Option 2, no "Disable" option. Side help says changing between them will help memory to run above 1000MHz - that didn't help me with my D9 problem, hopefully it will help other OCers.
F10 doesn't lock up the bios anymore with ddr2-1066 CAS4 at dual channel, like it use to do
But still either blue screen or windows login locks up seconds later...
that was done with vdimm either being @ 2.2v or on "Auto" and stock CPU settings 266x10...

    Hey guys,

Am I missing something or is it just bullcrap: FSB 1333 MHz support for rev 3.3 only, I thought rev. 2 is the newest one and they released a BIOS for a rev. that will be available in 6 months or something?! Or are they talking about rev. 3.3 of upcoming CPU's?

PCB and motherboard revisions are 2 different things.

Wow, didn't realize you guys were all using memtest86+. I've been using the old memtest86 that's version in the 3's and was wondering why you guys were using such "old" versions. Will have to give this a shot sometime as needed

THANK YOU...so great that Memtest86+ has **finally** been updated.
However...i have even MORE weird bios, i saved a profile called "425x8"...this hold my various bios settings in profile.

But when i tried to alter my bios, say 266x9...Windows would not boot up, in fact nothing i tried would allow me to boot.

I could not and cannot alter bios settings from those presaved in the profile, once i reverted back to the default 425x8 profile parameters Windows booted ok.

Can anyone offer insight as to why this is happening?...why can i not alter bios settings?

Yeah it's strange that it's not released on gigabyte's website. But it doesn't carry a subversion to it like we saw with the f8's, so it should be final supposedly. Might be undergoing final testing in gigabyte lab or something.

Woo I started dropping vcore and currently am at 1.408v under load with droop and so far 10 min small fft stable. Dropped vcore a total or around 0.11v or so, and coretemps dropped around 10'c. Kind of makes me want to goto 1.5v again and see where this cpu can go. But I never want to modify fsb again as long as it doesn't act up on me

Yes, I noticed. I've noticed this before too but I can't remember which BIOS version. I've downloaded F9 but not tried it yet. Only installed F8 the other... which seems to be going well.

On another note, my 8x438 1:1, 3.5GHz is dual prime stable now that I reduced my RAM timings from 4-5-4-12 to 5-5-5-15. I started getting a few reboots which MS reported as being due to Drivers mainly, but occassionally RAM and once Video Driver!?!? I subsequently ran Windows Memory Diagnostics and found errors during test 'MATS+ non-cache'. This prompted me to try less aggressive memory latency which seems to have solved the issue. I haven't yet bothered to play with latencies in between (went straight back to 55515).

That f10 bios for ds3 was on official french/german sites but was removed. It was mirrored though by a few other sites to download. Not sure why they removed it, might need more testing or something. Personally no problem with it here.

As i said the Vdroop with DQ6 2.0 is worse then rev 1.0 PCB, can anyone confirm if Vdroop is hardware or bios related?

I have reverted all my bios settings to normal, as i want to see if overclocking is causing these USB problems...i'm just guessing it could be bios and the IRQ/memory range paramaters for USB devices in bios.

I am going to contact Gigabyte tech support...also, is Bingo13 still about?...i'd appreciate if he would email me.

I think there's too much confusion regarding pcb revision vs motherboard revision. Motherboard revisions are changes that don't get a designated note. For example, in revision 1 ds3's, the first mb revision had c1 p965 chips. Later, they became c2 p965. I think this isn't really what anyone is talking about and is just pure confusion. The revision written on the motherboard is the one that's really in question, with rev2 having different electrical components than rev1 as well as a different nic.
