    BTW - both mem kits can hit 500MHz w/these timings @ 2.15V easy (tested @ P5W64-WS)

I seem to be ok at this time.

I have been trying to resolve the 1X pci express issue and stumbled on a fix that works at least for me.
I reflashed to bios 0614 then after stabilizing without an oc reflashed to 0804 bypassing 0711.
Working my way back up to the fsb I was at before.
For two days now I haven’t experienced the 1X issue and have been in and out of bios with multiple reboots and shutdowns.
I'm sure something will bug out sooner or later but for now all is fine.
    At least Asus is consistent.

I haven't tried to install my old audigy zs plat yet to see if it helps as I am considering getting this board as it is right down the street from me but I have never heard of BFG motherboards!? what do you think

so far so good... i got up to 450 FsB with no mods.

the only annoying thing is the HUGE vcore droop (.07-0.09 volts).

it's blending away at 8 x 450 with no problems!

It is when you oc over approx 378FSB in my case, then after a shutdown or reboot, the PCI is not 19x, but 1X. poor performance and really bad. Hope a bios will fix it some day:/

funnier : pcie@1X is when whatever you do, your graphic card refuse to run @16X on your mb but runs fine on your neighbour's mb :/
funnier² : it's when you try the gc of your neighbour on your mb, it runs fine but when you put back your gc, it still runs @1X :'(

Another little test I ran, test time not on my AHCI windows but a little test on my new RAID0 windows. To test my theory further about Jmicron liking a ATA HD running from the IDE I got following results,

NEC IDE burner as master and no ATA HD = 1,8 bars
NEC IDE burner as slave and no ATA HD = 7,1 bars
NEC IDE burner as master and ATA HD as slave = 1,2 bars
NEC IDE burner as cable select and no ATA HD = 7,1 bars
NEC IDE burner fully disconnected from mobo and ATA HD running as slave = 7,5 splash bars
NEC IDE burner fully disconnected from mobo and ATA HD running as master = 1,5 bars
No devices on Jmicron and Jmicron controller disabled in bios = 1,4 bars

So again here, the theory holds up, the fastest I can get is 1,2 bars and this with ofcourse an ATA HD running from the Jmicron IDE channel. Maybe its indeed a problem with this Nec burner, anyone that has less than 1 bar on the P5B-Deluxe shout me a PM what DVD burner you have. I might borrow one somewhere so I can put an end to this.

    I tried Tyrou's GX2 and it ran fine (8X)
my X1900GT ran also fine on Tyrou's P5B deluxe (16X)
that's why, I think of a HW problem on my mb
no bios update will "repair" this, I'm afraid...

OHHHH BUGG...& get this has anyone tried turning off the show desktop icons to see how long that fuzzes up your stuff? it feels like a millinium to turn off/on the background icons

    {QUOTE}=GrimReaper]you tried updating the drivers?[/QUOTE]

I got the bfg 680i staring at me as it was the last day to purchase...however if I open it that is it / no returns only rma.

I can rma my p5b delux wifi by the 23 & get my money back. I have been reading/tweaking/pulling hair out-bloodshot eyes hehe and am at the
ok do I pull this dusty yuck audigy plat out of my old build to put in this buggy bios/driver p5b delux or just put together the BFG all fresh new & sparkly HMMMMMM....zz

The current driver is 4530 5/2/2006. Sound bugs were while in game 5.1 speakers sound borked. FIles open much slower than on an extremely old tbird like I said. I was just shocked.

Non tweaked or oc 3d 2006 was 6376 SO GRrrr

I just got this board workin good, but I flashed it back to 0711 with afudos utility because the asus update screwed me pretty bad for awhile. I'm current six hours deep into a prime session right now, my cpu @ 3.4Ghz, and memory at 1063Mhz with ram in sig. I'm pretty impressed, except the fact that the damn board won't recognize my second DVD/CD ROM that is slave to my other DVD/CD writer. I'm in ACHI right now, and update the second jmicron device to IDE. But it hasn't done crap for me. This issue is driving me crazy...

    ASUS P5B-D WiFi
    e6600 @ 3.40GHz
    Corsair DDR2-800 2x1GB
    Sapphire ATI X1900XTX

    1 74GB WD Raptor HDD
    2 x 250GB Samsung SP2504C HDD
    OCZ 700W GameXtream PSU
    Thermaltake Armor w/ side fan

    Soon to be retired.

EDIT : STOP: 0x0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE thats a problem with Jmicron and my my why doesn't that surprise me, its copying bogus and corrupted files from windows and hence your BSOD. I suggest you either clean your windows cd very well, or burn a new windows xp cd, cuz from my experience jmicron is picky with certain cd/dvd media, my mate's pc is troubled with that too and I have to supply him with latest mediacode that allows him to read my cd's properly. He can read most, but certain stuff I can read fine, he can't, and on my PC everything reads fine. So its probably a combination of Jmicron being total CRAPHOLI and cdrom device not being compatible. Your cdrom device might have worked fine on older boards but Jmicron has a diff agenda

Hi, if you have some time can you tell me what are some things that i can safely disable in bios plz.
