I'm having some weird boot up problems now. Few days ago everything was ok. Bios 701.

I am running stable at 1.35Vcore at 355X9. Everything else is on auto except ram timings 4-4-4-12. Othe CPU abilities are disabled

Sometimes the screen will go black and nothing will happen. Sometimes after i changed the settings and exit the bios, it will just remain in a black screen after the exit and i need to unplug the power to reset it to normal.

    355X9 @1.35Vcore = post (CURRENT)
    360X9 @1.3625 Vcore = post
    365X9 @1.4 Vcore = just black screen
    370X9 @1.4 Vcore = just black screen
    400X9 @1.45 ~ 1.5Vcore = just black screen
    405X8 @1.35 Vcore = post
    410X8 @1.4 vcore = just black screen
    450X8 @1.45 ~ 1.5 Vcore = just balck screen

I didn't install anything with that F6-option and everything runs fine with a single SATA drive.

Tried this - still hitting a FSB430 wall...

I`m think I will need ASUS repair kit any time soon

BTW - if this is incompatibility with the memory - will switch from 8000UL to 6400C4 help ?

Go in control panel, then energy settings. Search for ''buttoms''.

    Default bios settings are correct.

I'd also like to now if there is any sign(serial or smth else) which identifies revc2 of the 965.
Nobody (with raid) moved from 975 to 965?

Why wouldn't you have to format them?

You have to format it. Even if ur friend has p5w dh. the Raid array is lost. And when u make a new array, u ll need to format the whole array/partitions.

    2thegooche= try higher voltage, 2.3V? 2.35V?

    Return to my problem (P5B Deluxe + 8000UL = 427MHz maxFSB)
    -tried PCI-E freq = 110 & 120 MHz
-tried another CPU (E6700 with x6,x7,x8 and x9 multis)

    Still the same problem

Do you know the ram will handle higher frequences? Have you tried all the voltages? Maybe you just got a bad card.

heh, since I got my Tuniq Tower 120 everything has slotted into place.

Maxed out my chipset, mem and CPU at 441x8, 3.525ghz

No dual reboots, no none starting boots, no PCI-E 1x bugs. Nothing.

    Works like a charm.

Just got to do the Vdroop pencil mod so I can drop the Vcore

ALL the bios after the 0614 have the BUG that all time we restart computer the LINK Width run x1 instead of x16 .

thats why im using 0614 , i prefer have the colboot instead of clear cmos all time i restart my computer or change any setting in bios .

And with Bios 0614 you dont need to do nothing in BIOS , you can use any setting that the bios always run LINK WIDTH x16

lets hope that ASUS solve this problem with 0804 OFFICIAL .

BTW: BIOS 0711 , 0801 Beta and 0804 Beta all of them have that BUG of LINK WIDTH x1

    regards
