    Last bios is Bios 0804 P5B dlx wifi/ap

    Before this one i had some probleme with pcie link width and high NB voltage, now i think they resolved it

    after upping the SB voltage to 1,7V and unplugging the PSU it seems the pcie link stays at 16X, even after restarts.

    I thought the latest BIOS for the P5B deluxe/wifi was 0711?

    Where are these BIOS revisions coming from? The latest I can see on the Asus sites is 0711?

    ok, so 801 bios works with p5b dlx without wifi, does the 804 bios work with deluxe without wifi as well?

    also, whats a good free rar. file extractor?

    all p5b deluxe bios' work on wifi and non wifi./

    just do a web search...you will find a "rar" extractor...they might want you to buy after "x" days but it continues to work after the trial period...you just have to put up with the message.

    7-zip is a good free rar extractor, i couldnt find a newwer than 711 bios either

    I'm not an expert,but after updated from 0711 to 0804 i can't set any cpu freq. other than default without have the pc hang before loading windows.
    Should i load default setting BEFORE updating with asus update in Windows?^I' didn't,could that be the problem?
