    Ken, he isn't the only one just the one who speaks out the most. Good for him, if he didn't you might think your bios is done but it aint

    Trying some more tests 5-5-5-15 2.3v 500x7 with ocz vx2's does not make it into windows... Their rated 4-4-4-12 at those speeds less voltage iirc so it aint the ram. To make sure I'm going to try them somewhere else but I I'm quite certain it's the combination board/bios/ram. Anyway, still trying to play with subtimings but no luck so far.

    Besides that I'm pretty happy with the gigabyte bioses as I god forbid don't own an xfi but this is a BIG turnoff.

    Kenofstephen, I started a thread in the OCZ section off xs to, I would love for you to work with them to get this fixed. I'm very open to suggestions so if you got any opinions regarding subtimings because I think that's the problem I am listening It's rather weird that some people are getting good results in single channel but not in dual channel, looks to me like a bios issue setting certain timings wrong but heh who am I

    Any help greatly appriciated

    ken doesnt work for gigabyte he is in another area but works and reports issues to the gigabyte team.

    well my biostar board comes in a few hours and i'm telling you right now if the biostar board can run the D9 above 950 and above 1000 then the DS3 is going up for sale.
    but it is going to depend on how well it clocks the cpu..
    they are basically the exact same board, just from different mfg.

    your tired of hearing the truth..im sorry i throw the truth in your face but its a freakin fact, for 2 bios's now and a beta also gigabyte has claimed to fix the XFi issue and they have done very little to fix it.
    when a company claims to fix somehting and its 100% not fixed how the hell are we supposed to have faith in that company that they have fixed it this time when they say we fixed it.
    listen ken you know just as i do there are only a couple people who have reported it is fixed you have a couple guys here and 1 or 2 guys on another forum.

    if hearing the truth is hard for you im not sorry cuz the truth needs to be said, no one is going to sugar coat things.

    so lets make ken happy.

    who ever has an XFi and the disappearing issue is FIXED please tell us, if it is NOT fixed please tell us.

    im not saying it aint fixed now. all im trying to do is get a handle on who is fixed and who isnt.
    for those who aint fixed then maybe try a different pci slot or something.

    im just trying to help. but when someone says its fixed and people arent reporting its fixed then.... and yes i have seen atleast 2 people say its not fixed.. and about 4 say it IS fixed so so far the FIXED are winning.
    which is a good thing, i am happy its being fixed, i was simply stating they said it was fixed before and it wasnt so i wouldnt be surprised if it isnt fixed now.

    I got ocz pc2 8000 Titanium Alpha VX2's which won't run their rated speeds with any timings, and you're saying it's fixed? It's not a wall with anything else because I can run well over 500x7 with some geil pc6400 but they lack timings cuz their elpida.

    @Lestat, don't mind him, you're not alone

    Edit: I ran lower fsb with higher devider to rule out fsb/cpu to.

    <sigh> We'll never know if you don't try. I've run 450x8 stable for days and run SuperPi and Orthos at 488x7. Now I've got it back Orthos stable under F8A at 450x8.

    O/Cing is a fun do-it-yourself project but if you want someone to hold your hand, I gave you my timings and voltage above. Knowledge is a wonderful thing if you use it.

    @Lestat, don't mind him, you're not alone

    Edit: I ran lower fsb with higher devider to rule out fsb/cpu to.
    I am trying to say this guy has the same memory as him and he gets past 950+ and did I say they fixed the memory problem? No I didn't but it did fix my X-Fi problem completely. Does he have X-Fi in his setup?
