    Red face Lian-Li Side Fan

Hello. I'm hoping to purchase a Lian-Li PC-7B Plus II soon. What I've noticed is there is a side vent on the left panel, for the video card/pci card area. On the PC-60B Plus II, there is the same side vent but with a 120MM fan.

PC-7B Plus II -- Vent, but NO fan!

PC-60B Plus II -- Vent, AND fan?

So does anyone know where I can purchase the fan that belongs there?

    Thanks,

    Nick

Take a 120mm fan, and bolt it to the vent.

If you have a cooling question or concern feel free to contact me.

Yeah. Well I'm guessing since the Plus II series are brand new, there will be an option to buy the kit.. so I'll just wait for now.

I'm thinking of doing something like this.

I have a Zalman Fan Bracket atm that has a 92MM panaflo on it, blowing at the back of my card. With the new Lian Li, I'll buy and assemble the following.

I'll have this attached to the Panaflo that is blowing on my card, and have this on the end of the duct. I'll some how mount the 120MM adapter (120MM side) on the side panel vent, so the card will get fresh cool air for both the vreg and the heatsink (because the fan draws air in from the back.)

I do. Performance-PCS.com sells it. Its called a Plus II Fan & Bracket Assembly. It runs $17.95 (plus shipping). I just bought one last week, along with the V1000 Plus II Side Panel and two Mesh Bay Covers.

The Mesh Bay Covers are perforated just like the front and rear panels. The covers look cool and allows air to be drawn into the case more easily. In combination with the Plus II side panel and fan assembly I have gained a little better cooling, although one caveat is of the Mesh Bay Covers is that noise will bleed out more readily too. Heres are some links for you:

    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=4620

    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=3904

The Mesh Bay Covers come in Silver and Black ($9.95 each). All parts are in stock. Last week was my first time ordering from Performance PCs but it won't be my last. I ordered in the afternoon and they shipped the same day!

    Sorry for bumping this thread..

Shouldn't it be the other way around, to get fresh air over Graph. cards etc?
(And yes, I'm ceratin it's suppose to be placed this way, since you can't twist it without doing some modifications)

Though, I'm considering to twist it around. But since it's originally placed this way, do you think the cabinet is designed for such an airflow - with this sidefan and upper rare fan blowing air out, and only 1 intake fan in the front?

Well it depends on the heatsink on your GPU. If you opt for something like a thermalright or a a Zalman one that doesn't exhaust the hot air out the back, then it would be better to have it as an exhaust. If you have the stock fan on the GPU then it might possible work better as an intake.

You can unscrew the fan and flip just the fan, you don't need to flip the bracket. What direction the fans come on the case from factory means nothing, mess around with them and find what works best for your components and room setup. I've never kept the stock direction of fans in my case and normally i don't use all the fans that come with a case and i've yet to have a load temp over 50C even in a warm room with OC.
