Lots of reviews, cards in stock. Where the hell are o/c results? I'm considering getting a 7900GT XFX 550 Mhz stock but I'm wondering if that's ALL it will do or whether it will go to the GTX clocks

That is unfair. I understand there is VAT when you import something, but the rate 1€-1,2$ is more than the VAT here in Spain (16%). So why does it cost 59€ more the same card here in Europe? The card should cost 303€ shipped, and would be more expensive!

You have to take in account how much things cost in each country, hence I'm comparing the same article. For example, a Ford Mondeo here costs 20k euros, and a 80 sqr meters costs 240k euros

very simple

1. Add VAT (15-20%)
2. They order probably 10 times fewer cards than in US due to less demand
3. And they probably put higher price for new products

So here you go, prices in EU can't be the same

Point 1: 303 x 120% = 360$ / 1.2 <- $/€ rate = 303€.
Point 2: unknown, but a 20% for less ordering?
Point 3. is common for USA, the product is equally new

And for shipping... if they are a bit intelligent will import to EU directly from Taiwan/Vietnam/Wherever they make the cards. So the shipping costs should be equal or lower since we are closer to Asia

All in all, its probably resellers who charge more than the ones in USA. Take this example (and is from a shop known for its "low" prices ):

A little OT: you reallly wanna compare wages, prices for vid cards, houses and cars .. check out eastern europe and you'll see.

At a quick check a Leadtek 7800GTX 256MB including taxes is around 560 - 610Euros in my country ...and i can tell you wages here are much lower than in the Baltic region/Estonia not to mention Spain nor the US (prolly about 10% of what you posted).

Anyway that XFX GeForce 7900 GT seems like the best choice.

Funny you mentioned the Ford Mondeo, i work in the Ford factory as a technician in Belgium where they make the mondeo. and yes they cost around 20k € here to and I earn 30k€/year

gpu does do much at this voltage but the memory seems nice.
runnin 84.20 beta driver.
this was run at 2961 on 170
memory max setting with coolbits tweak is 948 on memory speed.

Hmm, somehow score looks very strange to me and hard to believe. Kingpin got below 15K on FX60 @ 3500 and clocks 900/1000. You running SLI or single card?

The 7900gt seem to really shin on 3dmark06
remember this is at stock volts with only a 30 Mhz oc on the gpu.
hopefully the gpu will scale well with voltage ibcrease. vr should be here monday.

i ran sli 7900gt at stock clocks of 550 / 1580 and got a 14777.
just turned a 5752 single card in 3dmark06 580 / 1800

im more impressed now, 299.00 a card is still amazing to me. not sure if it would be an upgrade from an xtx though, SLI 7900's that is. I need to see some benches with bios mod I know thiers more potential then 15.xxxk in 3d05.
