    Coolaler 7900GTX 3dmark scores

Looks to be standard cooling more or less.

    http://forum.coolaler.com/showthread...1&page=6&pp=10

Seems that on stock hsf about 700 is the average according to reports

    Regards

    Andy

Scores look in line with simple speed bump over 7800GTX 512, ie compare to

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4479285

    for 03.

It maybe possible for top overclockers to get these cards to 1GHz ( maybe ).

    Regards

That seems a tad low for 710/1860

Im sure they have more potential then this. It wouldn't make sence that Nvidia would release a slower card then ATI, after ATI. Especially months after and then try to sell it for more money. I hope this is not why they are introducing quad SLI at the time of launch.
    Current Setup:
-9850 GX2's in Quad SLI config
    -Asus P5N32-SLI MB
    -2x512mb of PC2-5300 DDR2
    -Intel Celeron D OC'd to 3.2Ghz
    -Windows Me with XP theme
    -WD Caviar 20GB Hard Drive
    -Zip drive
    -Jazz drive
    -3.5" floppy drive
    -5.25" floppy drive

That's impressive But showing us an 01 score with a 3ghz FX-60 tells us zip about the card

Let's see some FX-60 @ stock numbers if you want to compare 01 scores

You don't have an FX-60 at 3GHz now do you.

Thats very... unimpressive. I guess thats why these cards are going for so cheap. Hardly worth even considering

See this score below? Thats with a stock x1900XTX, no OS tweaks, and no driver tweaks. Drivers all default. On top of that, the opteron 170 is running at less than 2.7GHz. Imagine what I could do with a 3GHz FX

Also, note the 12+ additional processes running in the background. Hardly what I would call tweaked.

FX60 @ 3ghz with an stock XTX would hit over 12K easy with 6.2 drivers in 05

I do this at stock core clks and 783 on ram,
with an slower single core & used 6.1 CCC's with only 512mb of ram.

For now I'm not very impressed...
For sure this new 7900 can be a good clocker but I think to hold my 7800GTX512 for now.

maybe not for you but its the minority spending big bucks on graphics cards.
wich stil is nice money for ATi and Nvidia but it aint the 400+ cards that ATI and Nvidia make the big cash with.

thats the reason why alot of people are guesing that the 7900GT could b a really good card.

ATI and Nvidia both want to have the fastest card out but if at the end of the month you wanna make money you have to have the best card price performence wise.

I can do just over 12k in 05 with my XTX at stock speed and the with 6.2 driver. It's 12,050 to be exact.

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1792312

So I'd image a 3GHz speed chip with my same card and driver would stomp me.

Plus some 7900GTXs have 1.2ns ram So 7800GTX512 users will have to forego the 2ghz mem clocks

you have to wait for the real overclocked cards i think we can get lots of WR, how high a 7800gtx 512 could go on air (with stock cooler)??

p.d. also as marioace points the box doesnt match the card he is testing

I prefere to wait the next model...
The v-moded memory of my 7800 can take easy the 2106mhz benchable and the core around 725 under liquid...
I will hold my money for the next models
