In fps numbers, yes.
In actual fluidity, no.

Games are jittery with multi gpu cards.
So that extra 40fps or whatever you gain with a second card has the visual effect of gimping you to the smoothness of 15fps on a single card.

The thread you gave is pure win (I read it before you posted). Anyway, there's a microstutter index threshold (it's in the thread somewhere. Above 20% is bad IIRC. Then again, the threshold might vary with people) before the motion becomes non-fluid aka microstutters.
