Use CMOS Reloaded to save a safe set of settings, and as you go up the FSB range, save another one and then keep overwriting that second bank once stable - Thats what I do anyway, it saves a lot of swearing when you have to clear the CMOS

Also on reset bios on failed clocks, you can use CMOS reloaded - load last bootable setting option to get you back to prior state
