Penryn is a core μarch shrinked derivative.
Dont forget tick-tock model..
edit>@trueblue: lsdyna, mathematica, pam crash and fp in general are all memory intensive applications, hence imc has an advantage on that. However this is just a 10% of the pie, amd should have been improved to the 90%.
