    The ambient temp was 25-26C
Crucials left near stock i mean near 1066 5-5-5-15 at 2,2 to asure to test the CPU only.

Boot at 3420Mhz (380x9) vith vcore 1,35 but prime95 fails, so i have to go for 1,4 for Prime95 to stabilize, 30 mins at Smallfft's, and Largefft's also. I have pretty high temps when Prime95 is runing i mean 69 the cores and 52 CPU...

I tried going up to 3600 (400x9) and boots perfect on 1,4Vcore, but Prime95 fails in seconds...So i tried more Vcore and it also failed til 1,5 Vcore wich is kinda sad...temps are very high i mean 74 the Cores and 60 the CPU...

I have an Asus P5K dlx bios 311 and TT Big typhoon with AS5 no lapped...
Wich settings are you using guys on ASUS P5K dlx for example to go to 3,6ghz ? With version of Prime95 you use (i used 25,5) and wich test or settings on it, i never used Prime95, just orthos....

It's kinda weird that prime95 fails cause in other CPU i had the lack of vcore always was showed by reboots, etc, but this time i mean at 3,6 and 1,425vcore y can play strangehold on vista, bioshok, lost planet etc...
It can be a temp issue ? should i consider lapping ? or i just got a bad batch...

    Any help will be appreciatted
    Best regards
    Sergio

These work prime stable for me. My CPU seems to like lower multiplier - higher FSB. I have a premium but its the same board with better capacitors. Use Coretemp 95.4 or PC wizrd 2008 http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php to monitor temps. PC wizard displays temps on top/left screen when you minimise it. You really want a thermalright 120 extreme or Ultima-90 with agood fan to handle the temps - even then they can only handle so much. I wont take my volts above 1.45v. On current settings I idle 35c and prime 61c. If you want to consider lapping check HS and IHS with a razor first - if they are already flat there will be little gain. If one is uneven do it. This is as good a guide as any - http://www.thetechrepository.com/sho...hlight=lapping I used it when I did my old E6600 - use black wet and dry sandpaper(dont use water like some suggest).

    JumperFree Configuration Settings
    AI Overclocking: Manual
    CPU Ratio Control: Manual
    Ratio CMOS =8
FSB Frequency: 450 - will give you higher BUS speed
    PCI-E Frequency: 100
DRAM Frequency: start 1:1 on 900 until stable - ballistix 8500C5 should run DDR2-1125 okay with tight subtimings of 3,30,3,3,8 on 2.2v

Me for one - which is why I now have a replacement Premium for my RMA'd dead Deluxe-lol!
