If only a company like swiftech or MM picked up that design and marketed it. It'd be all over that in a heartbeat.

Was Mick able to get you the sketchup version; I'd definitely go in with you to pay for a custom one made up from Protocase as well, assuming funding is the only thing holding this back.

If I was to Protocase it, I would more than likely just prototype the first one for myself (at a cost of about $2000-$2500 I estimate), then I would offer to let others buy cases off of myself and use their purchases to subsidize my initial lay-out of cash. If too many people got in on the initial protocase buy, it would make subsidizing tough to manage (splitting everyone's money several ways). Of course, after the first one is made, the CAD drawings of each piece would be available, so the cases made after the original prototype would be much cheaper (though probably in the range of $500 since this would not be mass-produced). At that point I would take orders and make a bulk buy when I had, say, 10 or more to be built.

As of now, I have not gotten a response to my request for the sketchup, though.

If things don't pan out, I might make my SketchUp models available to certain individuals, but I'm hoping that, eventually, my financial situation will improve and I can have a go at building it myself.

I'm also currently working on some detailed 2 dimensional drawings of all the individual components of the case. This will make producing the case much easier.

I could almost make your chassis with some slight changes. The problem is the difficult bends. I now have "somewhat" access to a water jet.

I'm making my own chassis. Very much like yours but with some changes so I can make it at my fathers workshop. I don't know what to say but the problem is that you have to make special tools to press the aluminium to be able to make some certain parts and edges. And that's very hard because if you just make a prototype it will cost a lot of money.

Things like the rounded edges, side-panels etc etc. I would be able to make an prototype If you could simplify it a bit. Else you need tools like lian li and them uses And sure, we could make the tools but that takes time and costs money. And I'm not sure if they have the right machines.

excellent just keep us posted. your case is the only "high-end" design that ever seemed worth a premium price tag. i just hope i have the finicial fortitude to get one when its time.

Been watching this thread with much interest.

Just a couple comments. Seeing as how the front fan is the main air intake for the case, is there some kind of option for a fan filter? Also, how are the reservoirs filled and drained?

The filling and draining of your reservoirs is completely up to you. He is designing a case for the general watercooling public and it is up to the consumer to mod the case to their needs.

Yeah, kind of figured that out for the reservoirs. But really didn't see a way for a fan filter to be added in the front.

I wish that I could be posting something more than another render, but there hasn't been any further progress to report. So another render is all I can provide at the moment.

Another Suggestion If its not too late, i know the case is allready huge.... and gorgeus i might add! Extend the Case in length a little more, so the top drive bays can accomodate full size drives and accessories. and to enable longer PSUs to fit in the bottom without too much fuss. If someone wanted to use 2XTyphoon 3 pump/res combos it looks like they are out of luck at the moment....

I wouldn't want to increase the size any further. It's already bordering on insane!
There is enough room to fit most long PSU's and it is possible to fit a Typhoon III in the top. However, routing the tube from the res' would be a bit of a problem, but not impossible....
