yes, its a very powerful technique it just has the drawback of being time constrained.
In other news the folks over at Lamptron approached me to provide sponsorshipI have engaged in designing certain items to be provided by them but more on that when we finish finalizing the design

Well currently my designs only go as far as a custom FC3 fan controller, right now its looking very swanky though... I want to show pics but the time isnt right yet
I will talk with them about future ideas once this current endeavor is finished![]()
Hey we want pictures of the stuff that came out less then perfect towe want those pictures more then the good ones.
Or to put it in an other way, it's nice with pictures of work in progress makes so you can snag ideas from the making of.

From time to time I have been known to post teaser picturesit will all become apparent in due time
(what you see here is a panel still in process of removing the stock sound proofing material, apparently a more difficult task than anticipated)

For removing sound absorbing foam, try a hair dryer or heat gun. I've done this a few times and while it's not perfect, it is a bit quicker than trying to pull the crap off with a bottle of goo gone.
Very hot water (near boiling) may also work but I'd really only recommend that on aluminum parts. Never tried this but don't see why it wouldn't work.

Missed this post somehow, thank you very much. Seems I have to buy a Canon for night shooting.
These panels look awesome, though on the second picture something is wrong, maybe it's just me, it didn't loaded properly or smth, but it looks like out of focus or something.
That front panel looks amazing! I'm eagerly awaiting more pictures! Less typing, more pictures!!!!! (kidding)

Really am liking the front panel Ian, Should look Nice with res added and this to case.
Industrial carpet adhesive solvent is my friendbut when I touch it it burns me
sound proofing material is coming off, hopefully shots of the side panels tonight!
Thanks Wil! makes lots of sense
yeah its was killer removing but this industrial carpet adhesive remover I got made the stuff melt off (with the aid of a paint spatula)
Thanks DP!
I started out with heat and goo gone but it wasnt doint it for me, the problem is that this stuff is glued on not a tape like adhesive so its very robust and difficult to remove.
I also tried burning it off..... LOL that stopped when I almost passed out from the fumes of burning rubber![]()
Thanks Rob!
yeah that teaser was supposed to be very out of focus, the soundproofing made the panel look very messy
As you ask, you shall receive, thanks for the kind words
Thanks Bentley, I cant wait to get everything installed but the top half of the cases two part shell is still at the laser shop getting the flow logo cut in
Thank you kindly elano, I am so happy that this design came to fruition as personally it is one of my favorite ever.
UPDATE!
Enjoy!

Whoa... dang man, that would be some serious stuff. I take it you tried lesser skin damaging chemicals like acetone to no avail? I spent some of last night covering my hands with acetone in order to remove the wax from some hardened steel rods (CNC stuff)... and like, my hands developed these red dots everywhere for a few hours. I would wear latex gloves but I seem to remember something bad happening with latex and acetone when combined... Could just be me making up memories, don't know for sure. Anyway be careful.
Though the panel is looking so good I can see getting some chemical burns as all part of the worthwhile process in order to achieve the end result.
So, any news or elaboration on the seemingly brilliant craftsman behind your brilliant design?![]()
