Umm my eVGA classified... im having second thoughts on it.
My eVGA regular was lost somewhere in the middle of the US, but they found it, and i should get it by friday to start build this weekend.
The eVGA classified finally showed up on eVGA's website, but its 450 dollars.
Im wondering if i should save the difference and wait on the X68.

:P if anything i want it powder coated to match my original shell.
UPDATES: i got my koolance package. The koolance clamps are nice. I'll take some pictures.

Do step up to the Classified. Its a wise move.
I buy Asuck only because I don't find many compelling alternatives.
If the P6T7 is vaporware, and it may very well be, then I'll geta Classified as well, if they have any available.
Demand is hot, so I would outright buy one on the first day and not rely on the stepup.
the thing with the classfied i dont like is no crossfire x( i checked their website) and it can take up to 700 watts off your psu
and i will not have a second psu (no room for it either)
its better to get a bloodrage but it doesnt have six dims
step up to the evga classfied if your gonna use dual powered Psu's
- i7 920 D0 // eVGA X58 SLI // 12GB G.Skill Ripjaws // HD6950 (6970 BIOS)
- Apogee XT // MCP655 // Thermochill PA120.3 // CM HAF 932
- OCZ Vertex 3 MI edition // ASUS Xonar DX // Corsair TX850
- HTC Incredible - Uber Kingdom Revolution ROM
RIG 1 (in progress):
Core i7 920 @ 3GHz 1.17v (WIP) / EVGA X58 Classified 3X SLI / Crucial D9JNL 3x2GB @ 1430 7-7-7-20 1T 1.65v
Corsair HX1000 / EVGA GTX 295 SLI / X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY Pro / Samsung SyncMaster 245b 24" / MM H2GO
2x X25-M 80GB (RAID0) + Caviar 500 GB / Windows 7 Ultimate x64 RC1 Build 7100
RIG 2:
E4500 @ 3.0 / Asus P5Q / 4x1 GB DDR2-667
CoolerMaster Extreme Power / BFG 9800 GT OC / LG 22"
Antec Ninehundred / Onboard Sound / TRUE / Vista 32
It doesn't, EVGA posted a video saying it can deliver up to 600w of power to the CPU with the dual 8-pins.
Naekuh, EVGA also has a lower-cost version available as well it seems (no NF-200 chip): http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=220793
And did you get my latest PM about the block and filters?
[ 3770K @ 4.2 : H100i : ASRock Z77E-ITX : GTX560 Ti : 16GB DDR3 1800 : +4TB : Bitfenix Prodigy : 2x Dell S2340M : Filco Majestouch-2 [Cherry Brown] : BX8a Deluxe]
oh your making me uber uber sad...
no xfire? But i thought Xfire was X58 native which the classified is.
Also thats the reason why im running dual psu's. The wattage requirement off board + 2 HD4870X2 is gonna leave me very little breathing room on the 1kw SR to handle my fans and drives.
oh why is it the moment i have something setup you guys come around and kill it by showing me something better? Is this why most of the other long worklogs goes down so many pages?
And no i didnt get the PM regarding the filters. Guys Metric is planning a 120x3 Filter for our MCR/HWLabs rads.
your going after the uber card setup for massive points.
Blah, gpu folding/wcging i think will kill it.
I think we will lose a lot of guys when quadgpu systems out produces 5 harpertown rigs. :\
Theres no skill in overclocking a gpu, no form of exotic cooling is required to get max OC and hold it there under load.

I wouldn't be too sure of that.
I'm sorry, but IlikeCosmosS has been making some pretty outlandish statements lately without links or other proof to back them up.
EVGA doesn't overly promote the Crossfire compatibility of their motherboards because they are an nVidia partner first and foremost and want people to buy their cards.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Classified is Crossfire compatible, just like every other X58 including the P6T6, which does have the NF200 on it.

NaeKuh, do us all a favor and finish ONE BUILD instead of planning your next three.
when i looked at there website it never said xfire
i actually never knew x58 was xfire standard
