Nice renders, you're using Kerkythea right? You should try grabbing some of the material packs from the site for some really nice acrylic and copper finishes. Try MLT + BPT rendering - takes longer, but much nicer results:

Waterblock concept I've been working on for the past day or two. Holding plate is too large, needs to be redone :S

Render Info: ~1 hour, MLT + BPT, 106 passes.

Cheers Metric. Yes I am using Kerkythea. Only just getting to grips with it though. Will give the MLT + BPT a try. I thought I had all of the material packs. I've got the copper, but I can't find the acrylic. Couldn't post a link by any chance. Thanks...

After testing most of the rendering options, I found MLT and MLT + BPT giving the best results. FYI, even though MLT does up to 10,000 passes, you really only need a couple hundred to get rid of the noise.

Basic Glass Pack has glass and some plexi/plastic materials as well

Evil and his renders was really the reason to get back into rendering and modeling (was sort of into it in '06 with Vue and Terragen)

Added barbs and fixed mounting bracket and top. Mmm, clear plexi top and nickel plating:

North Bridge and MOSFET designs tomorrow...
