    It's 581 euros per card.
Roughly 300gbp if my memory recalls the currency rate correctly.
And it ain't gonna cost 908$ in the states.

Totally unrelated, but this reminds me of when I purchased my X1900XT and 8800GTS 640MB for $400 shortly after launch. Round three coming right up!

For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.

    300 quid? I wish, that's around £460.
Of course not, but €582 ~ $906. Feel for us we always get screwed on the price

Realworld is barely 2x faster than the 8800GTX/Ultra.

the framerate at the displayed res is actually poor tbh.. people will run it at 1024 x 768 at good speed but still lots of jaggies.

    huh?

this is the gtx 280 thread,
a 9600gt can handle 1024 with some AA thrown in

a 280 could push 1650 with 2xAA or 4xAA if you accept some sub 30 sections

Sad that computex is over and still no meaningful data on either brand's new chipset.

i did mean the GTX 280, i meant the display graph showing crysis at 1900 x 1200

not a great result is it? they could have showed us a lower resolution test result.. wonder why they show us that, nobody is going to play at that res it would be way too laggy

    13.1 Fps for the 8800ultra at 1920x1200 ultraquality cpu was a 3.00ghz q6600

    39 Fps for the GTX 280 at 1920x1200 ultraquality cpu was a 2.66ghz q6600.

Wow, thats pretty friggin' fast.... WTF Edit: ahh ooops, different demos in the game.

i suppose we will get good framerates at high and a res just above 1024 x 768 but its not as good as i expected.

Besdies this is just crysis, we all know how badly coded it must be.. i think

Using a Google translation I got this...

With a '?' it looks like it will be available in 4 days! How much will it cost someone to buy from this site and do you know what this would be in the states?

Believe me we know that The UK always pays through the nose. 9800GX2 was around £410 ($800 converted) on the release day. They're pitching the 280, what $50 more on retail price? I'm expecting £430 tbh.

It's not only Bush's fault, but who cares, this is not a politics thread ( and of course I don't "like" him ).

Anyways... initial pricing at "big" retailers will be 600$ to 650$ ( let's say max 670$ with some price gauging )

Keep in mind even with the currency exchange, products cost more to import into Europe and they pay a ton more taxes on each product

Cept maybe out here in CA where we can expect 8.25 %

25% VAT here, oh yeah. Cant wait to see the price on 280.

Btw, noticed this picture some days ago:
    http://resources.vr-zone.com/compute...s/IMG_0215.jpg
Cooler 'ready for G200 + RV770'. Doesn't really mention if it works with older models too though, is there still no decent info on whether or not current GPU coolers will fit?
I surely hope third party coolers will be available around release. 'Monster' GPU's need monster coolers ^^

Don't worry, nothing will fit it.
There is one known waterblock and aircooler in the works, with more to come later, but nothing currently available will be able to work on the new Nvidia cards.

whoever you want to blame it on, they killed the economy of my home town.

Anyways, 582 euros is ~$9xx was my point
