Ok cool, so no > 1.6v. Got it.
Here's the settings I current have for 100% stability @ 3.6GHz:
FSB 400
CPU 1.487v
PLL 1.5v
NB 1.49v
RAM 2.2v
FSB 1.4v
SB 1.125v
SV 1.5 1.6v
So, with the above, what sort of "across the board" changes should I be looking at?
BTW what's GTL?

Stupid question, but is setting the PLL over 1.5v (1.6 or so) unsafe for 24/7?
I used to get 3.78ghz before I blew out my old ballistix kit. At that point, my p5k deluxe had an old bios that didn't have the PLL settings. Right now, I can't get anything over 3.6ghz stable since I can't OC my ram worth a crap. Maybe the PLL setting was higher when it was automatically controlled in the bios? I hope I don't have a degrading q6600. Its showing some signs since it takes a little more voltage to get to 3.78ghz (unstable as heck though).
Any ideas?

What is the highest (safe) northbridge voltage with heat pipe cooling?
What does PLL stand for? The above post has it listed at 1.5v

Asus P8z77-V LK
Toshiba 120GB SSD
Samsung Spinpoint F3's 1TBx2 RAID 0

Do you have active cooling on the NB (a fan)?
A phase-locked loop or phase lock loop (PLL) is a control system that generates a signal that has a fixed relation to the phase of a "reference" signal. A phase-locked loop circuit responds to both the frequency and the phase of the input signals, automatically raising or lowering the frequency of a controlled oscillator until it is matched to the reference in both frequency and phase. A phase-locked loop is an example of a control system using negative feedback.

Click on the link I provided. All the chipsets on my motherboard have copper heatpipes and copper cooler caps on the northbridge and southbridge. I do not think heatpipe cooling requires or allows for fans on top. I have two 120mm 78 CFM fans blowing the air from front to back through the Tuniq Tower.
Click on my link to MSI. I have no idea what your response means. I'm not a NASA engineer or an electrical engineer for that mattter. I go by one theme. Crank up the voltage until the components die. None have died so far becuase I use good cooling solutions. I'm still intimidated by liquid cooling solutions for both their complexity and price.

I still have yet to find proper settings to run my 6600 @ 4GHz. I have the cooling, but don't know what settings will allow this...

I can buy a L739B884 pretty cheap, any ideas what its like? I know someone earlier in this thread got 3.6ghz @1.45v with a L739AXXX

Awesome! Nice low VID tooDid the IP35 Pro give you any grief? Its on my shortlist of mobos along with the MSI P35 Neo2
Nope no grief. It's been great.
It's just a pity that this chip is going into a Folding box with an AB9 QuadGT.

What kind of PPD does it get at 3.8ghz? :o
Im guessing nearly 4000?

Nice chip Cob, I love mine. I can't wait to add water to it. I have it at 3.6 on air and plenty of room for more!
Nope. I'm Cob pretty much everywhere
I'm testing it at 3.9ghz (still the same BIOS vcore as above, tho it only droops to 1.44v under Folding) with a single winSMP client and it's getting 3100ppd with a 3064 unit. If she completes that without any issues then I'll let her run 4 linuxSMP clients across a couple of VMWare VM's and I'll be hoping for ~5300-5500ppd with the right units.
Once that's done she'll be downclocked to ~3.6ghz in the QuadGT and will hopefully get over 5000ppd in a dedicated linux machine.

I won the L739B884 Q6600 on ebay for $182 ( €117 )
Hey Cob where did you get that one, if you don't mind me asking?
Won it for £110 on Ebay
It's now been Folding at 3.9ghz with the same BIOS settings since Tuesday.

Now I need to decide if WC is worth it....
Plan 1 ~50 euro
TRUE with 120mm Noctua fan
Plan 2 ~60 euro
IFX-14 + 120x38mm fan
Plan 3 ~130 euro
D-Tek FuZion v2
D-Tek db-1 pump
Swiftech MCR 220 rad
Swiftech MC res
7/16" tube
2x undervolted Yate Loons
It adds to the awesome factor quite a bit but wont be any quieter than the TRUE and would only realistically net me another 200mhz or so if I was lucky...
Im leaning towards Plan 1... Budget ftw \o/
L739A976 1.25 VID
3.8Ghz 1.408v completely stable. If it wasnt for the horrible vdroop Im sure it would go higher. The temperature graph you see is taken from OCCT and shows the hottest core, which is 15C higher than the others. Remounting of the waterblock wont help - think it needs lapping perhaps.
Motherboard is a DS3R on all stock volts.

I wished people would also post their core temps, especially under full load! I would find this data very helpful! I want to see what temps you guys get at these high overclocks. I can get my Q6600 to run stable at over 3.8GHz, but at full load can reach 90*C!
