Mmm the X64 thing scares me, I'll wait till other people test it.

I had a go with it, didn't like it, system kept crashing, on the plus side the multi screen sort of works in crossfire mode but only if the monitors are conected to 1 card which aint alot of good if you have 3 screens, think i'll wait till the official release

I am using them right now, with two HD3850 I could at last enable Crossfire (7.12 said Crossfire was enabled, but it didnt work, erformance was the same and second card ran at idle clocks). No problems yet, Source engine runs perfectly fine.
New option in CCC: Crossfire section now has "diagnostics" tab which "indicates the status of your setup", but it doesnt show anything no matter what I do (enable Crossfire, disable, disconnect CF bridges etc).

Wow, that sounds just like my problem with 3870 Crossfire in Vista 64.

No performance increase in ANY games, only in 3dMark06. Crossfire enables without a problem, but I just don't get any better FPS.

Well, Crossfire works, but GPU-Z says it's disabled. 3DMark gets great boost. It took a million reboots and zillion hotfixes to get it to work, but at last...

    Same for me!

Vista x32 and no problems at all!

Nice Identify GPU button. Probably first sign of Multi-Monitor setups working with CF

I've tested Crysis, COJ, COD4, UT3 and PT Boats. DX10 code path when possible. All ran well in CF utilizing both cards.

Now I just need third HD3870 to test Tri-Fire with this driver
    RiG1: Ryzen 7 1700 @4.0GHz 1.39V, Asus X370 Prime, G.Skill RipJaws 2x8GB 3200MHz CL14 Samsung B-die, TuL Vega 56 Stock, Samsung SS805 100GB SLC SDD (OS Drive) + 512GB Evo 850 SSD (2nd OS Drive) + 3TB Seagate + 1TB Seagate, BeQuiet PowerZone 1000W

thats because Crossfire in games not always Enable (only in 3Dmark) , every time you run a 3D aplication or game and then turn off the game/aplication the crossfire Disable then you need to restart computer , but i found a way to enable CF again withou restart , when CF are disable if we change any 3D setting in CCC and Hit Aplly CF is enabled again , no need to restart computer !

And in some games like COD4 for example if you are in game and you just simply minimize the game (like going to windows in the midle of the game) the CF disables , or if you change a game seting , like AAx4 to AA2x the CF disable , what happens is that a lot ppl think they are playing in CF but in fact they arent

with cat 7.12 i have a BUG that i can see if CF is enable or not , by the colour of the nicks in the xtremesystems forum

    nicks Blue = CF enable

    nicks Brown = CF disable

(nicks Brown = CF Disable in games )

(nicks BLue = CF enable in games )

But not all ppl have this color BUG , so that ppl need to test in the games

if CF are disable no need to restart computer , just change any setting in CCC and Hit Apply , like change Catalyst AI for example (if in standard change to Advanced or vice versa) or like you see in the Images i just check or unchek the 3d standard settings (actualy changing any 3D setting in CCC will work)

Cod4 multiplayer CF enabled (also the nicks in forum are blue)

    http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/4176/cod4cfyr5.jpg

    http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2655/cod4cfqo7.jpg

then if i change any game setting (like turn off AA) or just minimize the game to go to windows , then when i go back play the game and CF is already disable :

cod4 multiplayer CF disable (also the nicks in forum turn Brown)

    http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6...4singlelx7.jpg

    http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/6...single2wg9.jpg

so if you enter a game and see that the CF is not working ( Fps) , just turn off the game go to CCC and change for example the Catalyst AI and Hit aply , then open the game again and CF is Working

i didnt try cat 8.1 yet to see if CF in games are always enabled , because im using Windows XP , but my friend that also have HD3870CF + Vista 64bit said the CF now is always enabled in Games

    regards
