Thanks for clearing that up Spectrum.

Waiting for more to confirm, cause that was a serious accusation, you could get me banned because of something like that Truckchase!

Just an info ... that dll is a WELL KNOWN mass mailer, it can be had from a LOT of sources, but seriously, check before accusing me of anything, someone please confirm to shut him up .
I've re-confirmed it several times in a VM. You want the Pcaps to prove it?

It isn't in NOD, AVG, or 2 others' detection routines that I tried. AntiVir picks it up via heuristics.

I'm not trying to get you banned, I just want to warn everyone else who downloaded the software. *Cough* Check PM *Cough*

Do NOT talk to me like that. I am not mistaken; I do this for a living. Re-evaluate your position before you shoot your mouth off.
OK, to end this soap opera, we need the administration to test the file pointed out by Truckchase please, if they find that it installs a Trojan, then by all means, ban me, if not, then i would demand a warning to Truckchase, and for your information, i excuted the file dizzillion times, and it never installed ANY DLLs or viruses, or weird files.

And i think this is the best solution, and till then, please keep this thread on topic, cause this is getting rediculous!

Is that all right?!? 3.89V?!? OMG

Truckchase! I'm afraid my system was infected with that virus too. I deleted the entry in regedit, and erased the file pmxgl32.dll. Now scanning with all Spyware/AV stuff, but nothing is detected I don't know what does that virus/malware harm and I don't know if there are any other files infected...
My mistake, but anyway you can't get more than 1.29V from BIOS. I already wrote about that, but most of the people here don't pay attention.

I paid . I read the thread dozens of times, flashed lot's of bioses from this thread, including mine modded. But now I had this "doubt" and I wanted to post to ask you if it was a normal value of vgpu with RT (never checked voltages with RT before). I know you can't pass 1.29 via bios. Only asking and sharing with you this info, that's all.

Hapy holidays, and thanks you all for your work

Thank you very much for that one! Cards now run at 776/1026.

However, when usin CCC Advanced and looking at the Overdrive tab I get the message:
"ATI Overdrive capabilities have not been properly initialized yet. Please try again later"

Any clues of how to solve that? I have cleaned all drivers and reistalled it again, did not solve anything.

    Thanks in advance!
    / Anders

EDIT: The service 'ATI Smart' is set to automatic, however, it only starts för a second then it stops again.

well it would seem that whenever the frequencies are programmed in the BIOS...as all of us have experienced here OVERDRIVE gets weird and stops working at least halfway. With the bios I edited the max on core was 730 in overdrive...since I programmed the bios to go above 730...I think OVERDRIVE is just totally freaking out. So, I dont think its nothing major. As Im trying to just hard lock in the frequencies without having to do any clock changes once I find whats stable =)

Flashed to your bios ealier and can confirm the same overdrive problem , i have a bios that doesnt break overdrive thats clocked 760/1000 with 1.33 3d , think its the only one i have tried that overdrive still works with , its the one i linked to on the first page , its not 71 bios with fixed max core thing , maybe thats why overdrive still works with it

Anyway im using your bios as its close to my max core 785 ish and 1035 , so its leaves a bit of headroom

    cheers

Good thinking. I have the same opinion as you.

Before testing this one I had a bios with something like 766/1000 and max for me in Overdrive was 770/xxxx. In that case Overdrive worked but as I was already (almost) maxed out already it was just to leave the settings for clocks alone and keep benching.

I will keep your bios for awhile and see how it works for me.

chrisf: Is 785mhz max for you becasue of the voltage or temps?

EDIT: SON OF A BLKSFDLKJWE:LKRJWL:KJ. There is a VIRUS in that file! Dude, seriously, I'm an idiot for trusting anything posted up here, but seriously.... WTF? ?!!?
Just checked the directly linked HexCmp on http://virusscan.jotti.org/ (which uses a bunch of different scanners) and it turned up "clean" . That ofcause doesn't mean it can't be infected... maybe the scanners used there just don't know the virus yet (which on the other hand I find hard to believe if it's a "well known" massmailer).

[edit] Scan on http://www.virustotal.com brought different results :
    Code:

    Microsoft	1.3109 2007.12.29 VirTool:Win32/Obfuscator!Mal
    Panda 9.0.0.4 2007.12.29	Suspicious file

Would someone mod my original MSI HD 3850 256Mb BIOS to 760|1000? The card comes clocked @ 690 and is capable of the first mentioned OC.
