Did you test it with nozzle only on your CPU? How did you fit the nozzle in your loop?

Just kidding The D-Tek itself is a good cooler. The question is: Is the D-Tek better with nozzles or is it as good as without.

The temps in idle are not that interesting. Full load by stress tools like prime95.

    D-Tek without Nozzle!

    1,45Vcore = 3,6 GHz Temps on load around 59-62C°
    1,48Vcore = 3,7 GHz Temps on load around 65-67C°

4.4mm??? Must be making fun of me.

When I first go my nozzles I measured all them and I swore they were .2mm off each. Upon further investigation, they were the advertised sizes. I was so paranoid about it I actually took an awl and burnished the 4.5mm nozzle opening to 4.7mm (since that's what I was told is the optimum opening size)

I do wonder what will work best for the Quads, but there is no question with dual cores.

LOL, typo I meant 4.5mm. Where did you hear 4.7mm is optimal?

I can honestly say there is really no reason to use the 3.5mm at this point. I haven't officially run it on the test bed but judging by the flow killage with 2 DDC-2's in series I say best to stay away. Cathar funny enough mentioned that ~4.7mm is optimal. This is all on a dual core FWIW.

    nikhsub1 told me so. lol

BTW. is there a link to cathar's testing? or was that just hearsay? Maybe I should have asked that before I modified my nozzle.

I just had a feeling I could trust your word when it came to hardware.

    Im using the smallest nozzle.

    CPU is 6400 @ 3400 @ v1.45

Temps before 40/42 @ prime load
Temp now 35/39 @ prime load

    Fans are fn121 @ 7v

But I have dual d5s (on setting 3 and a pa120.3 and pa120.2) all for CPU

fyi air con is set at 21C however ambient is about 20/19C

That should take care of the flow problem with the small nozzle.

Only one PA120.2 should do the same work in cooling the CPU.

    Quadnozzle and washer mounted.
    Temperature dropped 2-3°C.
Flow dropped from ~425l/h to ~350l/h

If it really comes from the nozzle, it is a good thing for enthusiasts. If not, it was a better mounting of the cooler on the cpu now

using the washer and the nozzle are the only steps needed to get the block bowed? Any other procedure?

You can bow the block without the nozzle.

Take the block apart and place a washer between the top two "layers" at the inlet.

The included washer at the nozzle kit does not bow anything I gues. It ist much too thin. It only tightens the way for the water.

Yes, the gasket is there to stop the leakage into the chamber. To bow it, you need a thicker o-ring (1.6mm i think).

The o-ring used in the D-tek is very special I guess. Can you just take another simple thicker O-ring?

yup, I used one from a spare barb, in the link I gave I think a washer from an EK barb was used to bow the block.
