    Thanks for the heads up.

    Any good news?

The acetal top version looks sweet. I still love the pic that mccoffey took of his 8800 with an EK block. That gained me a new respect for full cover blocks.

I'd be a fair bit more inclined to consider a double sided full cover if there was some modularity built in offering the chance of matching either side to a future development.
I've kind of expected PCI-E daughter expansion boards to appear, for a while now. Guess there must be some barrier to the idea.

Looks nice. Even the full block version because surely those mofets should be cooled by something either way you want to look at it since they can get damn warm.

and with perfect contact, pressure from both sides really flatens the card (I forgot to reapply the paste on one IC)

You have it set up for parallel correct? What are the chances that you run a test in parallel and one in series? Not that Im buying the block/R600 yet, it would just be interesting to see a difference, if any.

    Must weigh a bit?
With a horizontal mobo, it'd keep the card in it's PCI-E slot.

That thing is massive. Like others have asked, will the weight be too much?

Also, what's the cost on the block?

fully mounted card weights aprox 1.37 kg

I think some support will be needed, if mobo is not horizontal
