yeah, its a higher voltage CPU... don't know, lets see if this CPU can overclock aswell as SL9S8 witch is 0.850V-1.3525V

I tihnk that it seems right. seem like they have done something to cpu so that it only draws maximum power rating @ voltage designated in COreTemp. A listing of Vdroop using digimeter to PWM might be usefull...

and boot form bios 540 fsb 1:1 (didnt try more)

but with aircooling its a litle HOT .

well it's cpu only kind of loop so that explanes the low temps, i watercool my 8800gtx too, and it's in the same loop with my cpu.

let me guess you live in europe, very german kind of loop, not saying it's a bad thing, just an observation i've made over the years while i've been into computers. small diameter tubing, restrictive rads.. etc

btw have the same block( retired) and rad (second rad in my rig)

    yep i live in portugal

i prefer small diameter tubes like 8/6 than 10/8 or higher

when i had C2D E6400 and X1950XT with same wc kit on same loop i had pretty much same temps

Now im only watercooling the CPU beecause 8800GTS stokcooler dont make much noise and its eficient (45c Idle)

well the first E6600 CHips ( week 24 & week 25) were A LOT WORSE , some of them dont even run 3400mhz (no matter what voltage used) , for what i see here at least this new ones run 3600mzh@1.45v Orthos stable , i think its not so bad !!

your VID is really good, just 1.23v.I think that is why you can go high without using a lot of voltage.

911us my guess is that you have found the limits of your cpu and thats why you are not able to make your system stable.

The limit stability is about 37xx Mhz on watercool. I am doing fine with orthos large test at 3600Mhz but not the blend test.
