Good idea but unsusable for me since you can't set the fan below 50%, why not?

Exactly, no need for fancy tool if ATI Tray tools can do everything without useless bling.

I have two questions, does it still let you create your own profile with temperatures and fan speed and does it work in sup com? I could use a little more agressive fan settings in 3d but I still want it to be dynamic settings, and I do not want to sacrifice 2d silence.

Ati tray tools did not work with sup com and my old x1950, it corrupted the hud no matter what settings I tried out. I had to switch to ccc to get it to work. I haven't tried it ony my 4870.

Great tool, does it support just Gainward 4850/4870 cards or it is necessary to flash Gainward bios?

for those who may still have questions, this program does work for non-Gainward cards, but it does not work with CrossFire. i can only adjust my primary card's fanspeed. the bottom video card is unaffected by this program.

6.4 beta works on my vista x64

EDIT: disabling driver signing was not necessary, and it's Vista x64 with SP1
