I'm using:
- D-TEK Fuzion Nickel-plated
- EK-NB S-MAX Acetal Nickel-plated
- EK-NB/SB ASUS 3 - Acetal Nickel-plated
- EK-Mosfet ASUS 3a - Acetal (X38) Nickel-plated x2
Tubes which i have right now - Innovatek 8/10, but in final rev. will be Tygon 3603 3/8" ID (1/2" OD)
That is absolutely the cleanest H20 system I have seen. Where do you get the hose connectors? They really finish off the installation!! Also, What resevoir # is the one you used? I have a Stacker with the Asus Maximus Formula SE board that I am trying to convert over to H20 so very interested in the parts you used. I have the Thermochill pa 120.3 reservoir and a Swiftech MCP355 w/Custom MCP355-DDCT-01
Delrin DDC Pump Top pump on the way. Will probably mount the radiator on the case top as have used the bays for the drives and drive bay window. Although the clean way you mounted your reservoir may make me change my mind!!

I am going to dance around this question best I can withought offending the Water cooling boys.
MOSFETS do need cooling. I opted for heat sinks myself. The thing you need to know is that the MOSFET blocks are the most restrictive. If you are running 1 loop only, how many blocks are you planning on putting in it, and how much rad do you have?
I am going to cool CPU, NB, and 1 bad boy GPU, in my 1 loop using the ThermoChill PA.120.3 radiator and D5 pump.
I think if I would have put a CPU, GPU, NB, SB, and 2 MOSFET blocks in my 1 loop, my temps would have suffered. By cooling my SB with the Enzotech Forged Copper CNB-S1L sink, and dedicated 60mm Panaflo axial fan rated at 12CFM, and my MOSFETS with Thermalright heat sinks, I think I did myself a favor.

I just started to look into watercooling and i am about to bulid it with the following parts (Will keep the fusion block as it is just now)
Case Stacker 832, QX6700, 8800GTX OC (will not be WC just now)
the parts iam looking to get are:
1) Cape Coolplex Pro 25
2) D-TEK FuZion CPU with Nozzle kit
3) ThermoChill PA120.3 + Shroud planning to place it at the bottom, some modding will be taking place similar to Polished Orange/Blue Stacker 832

Sorry, it's easy to make jokes on this side of the fence...
I do still believe the stock cooling is fine for mild over-clocking....
I do however think you can't have too much thermal play room either, and cool chips add to system stability.
Aftermarket blocks, and a quality mount and TIM are going to do better here for sure.

the phase unit is working with the water setup although the ATI HD 2900 XT is sent out for RMA i have a POS 2400 in there and it sucks. no issues with the waterblocks from EK.![]()

I also think that the fusion block is the Corner Stone of that whole heatpipe setup, so the better you get Xfer the better it will effect the whole heatpipe solution.
Do you think there is any gain in just switching that fusion block once it's removed and putting a MCW30 in it's place, even if it's epoxy mounted, or is that just overkill?
I am also speaking from the point of a Maximus Extreme owner, the bigger Blue heatsink (covering 2 chips) is more problematic to replace with all Aftermarket solutions.

i tried removing the stock WB with heat and wasnt very secessful. Its a very brittel glue like (Epoxy maybe) substance that won't even come off with acetone when heated with a butane torch. just feels like sand paper now.
if you look real close to the aluminium heat sink you will see pri marks from ware i had to use a chisel and a hammer to wedge inbetween them and pop them apart which i do not recomend doing while that sink is still attached to the chipset
i just wanted the Fusion block as a desk ornament![]()

Got my MAximus a few days ago - and the Swiftech MCW30 does not fit properly.. The hole spacing on the mobo is just a tad too big
The Apogee GT does fit perfectly though![]()
