I like to run all my games at 1600X1200 or higher, that is why i need the extra power. My monitor supports 100Hz at 1600X1200 or 75Hz at 2048X1536, this way I can still have high frame rates. Afterall, what is the advantage of running 200+ frames per second when your refresh rate is only 60Hz. So many people make this mistake and think that they are gettting crazy FPS, when in fact they are limited by their low refresh rate.
Cant wait to see the results

The pads are 2 a 3mm , i dont think that thermal paste can fill that gap.Originally Posted by mascaras

Ok, thanks guys! Then I think should be the Unreal3 Engine no problem for this card too (hopefully)
I guess now I'll stick to the 7900GT. Just need to wait until there is a cheap model avaiable![]()

Oh, sorry:POriginally Posted by mascaras
But is it a small chance that the stock cooler can handle 1.4v on gpu?
What's the point then in running above the reference 450Mhz speed? Why produce OC versions at all. You are totally satisfied with less than 8000 3DMark2005, right?Originally Posted by HellasVagabond
Dont forget GT -> GTX clockspeeds are 40%+ difference. That is a LOT of untapped performance. 650Mhz gets you to 11000+. 750 to around 12000+. And if you feel reference 450Mhz is enough, perhaps you arent using high enough resolution, or tried COD2 with lots of smoke. Dont worry, Unreal3 etc, will make good use of all those Mhz. i think with stokcooler and 1.4v you got about 42/43c

Thx guys im really happy that the card clocks so good coz 1000mhz on ram is just insane![]()
Gpu is watercooled and on ram i have Revoltec BGA copper ram sinks.Temps are 38 in idle and 43°C on full load .
Oh yeah and i had to remove the GPU vmod posted on vr-zone coz the screen was shuting off all the time when i passed 670mhz on core(it might be coz it overvolted with that mod 1.58V and after i removed it it´s 1.55V maybe OCP kicking in ???)

Someone else didnt get OCP kick in even with 1.6V. Perhaps it was, but more likely a poor connection somewhere.. you migh have pulled something accidentally.
