Arrow WOW!!!! CRYO-TEK/Chilly1/Polycold Modded Autocascade Rev.3!

Here's my last thread about my converted Polycold autocascade:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=82940

Originally, the unit was thought to be in the range of 6 stages and the gas charge was a total unkown. In actuality, the unit is a 3 stager. Chilly1 did an incredible job with the unit without any information to go on.....THEN CAME CRYO-TEK

I'll let him divulge whatever he wants about his background and such as it's not my place to say. What I CAN say is that he sure does know his autocascades. Until now, NOBODY has been able to figure out a charge for my Polycold unit and still maintain somewhat of a decent capacity. Well, let's just say that Cryo-tek did a pretty good job. Dropped off the unit yesterday and this is what he came up with today :

Preliminary testing with a dummy load has it doing -125C @ 150W heat load ALL ON A SINGLE, 1HP COMPRESSOR. I'll be posting updates here as I begin to test this unit. Now to find a cpu which will function @ these temps Go ahead and ask questions as I know Cryo-tek will be happy to answer them for you

Just in case anyone's wondering the unit's now charged with r22/r123/r23/r14/r740

Ladies and gents, it's time to take computer phase-change cooling to another level

    4/24/06: Here's a little update on the unit -

yeah cyrotek please give us a lesson on how does this unusual mix works. I mean we all can see that most of the gas here takes some effort to condense.

I'm not quite sure how this all works either, but I'm guessing Cryo-tek will have some explanation which we all won't be able to understand All I know is that I've seen him @ work and his results are REAL

He's been trying to educate the community from the moment he's stepped into these forums (albeit less than a couple weeks). Look around for his posts and you'll find there's no "secret" involved - it's all about experience and knowledge

Actually, it took him less than a few hours as he had started on it this afternoon and finished by 4 or 5 PM. Of course he started evacuating yesterday though
