Looks really clean! I like it! Is placing a heat exchanger in front of the condensor fan the best place for it? Wouldn't it be better to place it out of the way of airflow through the condensor?
the air has already passed thru the condensor and placing the coil there is to cool the gas before it enters the condensor.
compressor can use the flow too![]()

Air flow... Is it ok?

I think the opposite direction is better. Coz fresh air comes in fron the back passes thru the hot compressor before it cools the condensor. To me it is not good. I am not expert in phase change, but that is what I deduced from the pics.Originally Posted by LittleDevil
Best way would be from the front to the back. as the air will get hotter and hotter from the front to the back thus removing heat from each of the components. the hotest part being the compressor.
So you are saying air flow from - Condensor -> Heat Exchanger -> Compressor -> out of the case. Right?Originally Posted by Icy
That is what I think also. Seems more logical that the critical components like the condensor which will need more cooling be having cooler fresh air than the compressor.
If it was the other way around you would probably heat the condenser up lol
front to back is the optimum use of the cold air entering thru the condensor, over the desuperheat coil then around the compressor, then out the back of the case.
Update...
