Exclamation The Avnet Tech Games competition for 2006!!!

Here in Arizona Avnet and all the Maricopa Community Colleges are joining together to create the first Olympics-style academic competition in technology! Avnet Tech Game sponsors are as follows... Freescale semiconductor, Arizona Business Accelerator, CA, IBM, Spark, New Angle Media, Calence, Microsoft, Renesas, Avid, Analog Devices, Inter-Tel, ST, and even AMD! www.avnettechgames.com
I went to the Tech Games last Friday (March 3rd) and had a blast there, it was pretty cool at least 500 people were competing there in eight different events. I competed in two of them the AMD- Build the Fastest Computer and Build the Most Innovative/Fastest Computer. I didn't win the AMD build competition I came in 2nd place, but I did win the Innovative/Fastest Computer competition! I won a scholarship for school and made away with all kinds of computer hardware even got a AMD FX-57 for free and loads of other stuff... The computer I won with is in my sig below... The audience voted on looks and the Avnet officials ran three benchmarks and compared the scores. They ran Aquamrk3, 3DMark2005 and PassMark which I did pretty well on. Well it looks like my system was the star attraction there as I got an interview with FOX 10 news at Avent lol. Anyways it was a lot of fun and was pretty cool to meet all the other system builders there. Here's some pics of the event and my winning rig (the system with chrome sleeving and VapoChill LS in the case)...

Yeah also got 512MB of RAM, 7800 GT, MSI K8N NF4 mobo, new computer case, 250GB PATA HDD, DVD Rom, and a 600W PSU...Probably keep the HDD and sell the rest as I don't have a use for them. I wish there were more events like this, it was really cool to meet other people that have the same interest and passion in computers like I do.
