    Prepairing DOTHAN for LN2 action...Warning 56K/photos inside...

    Hi there....

I just want to ask the experts of the LN2 action if I insulate well my mobo so as to run a DOTHAN on it.......

Firstly I sprayed and "tipped" ALL OVER the motherboard with a Plastic spray which can hold from -70*C to 120*C.......

After that, I started to "fix" the CPU bracket of the motherboard so as to fit with my phase change/LN2 container......

Now I was ready to screw it onto mobo......

    A bit insulation inside it.....

Now.......Backside of the mobo........I firstly putted the Prommie's back plate with the resistor in it so as to keep the CPU's surface warm and then I double insulate the mobo.......

Afterwords it was time for placing the adapter in it......

    Insulate a bit.....

    ......and a second layer......

QUESTION: Do you think that this is enough for the LN2 action?......or should I do something else too.......

    Thanks......

I think it will be enough.. how thick is the insulation on youre tube, so you have an good sealing between the insulation next to the socket. and as unseen said, the more the better.

I'll try to cover the tube with as much insulation as possible........Do you think that I've got to insulate around the CPU's socket as well - just in case - ........

Well more insulation near the socket will do you good, make it as thick as you can. this will provide some good insulation.

Definately w/ LN2 you need alot of insulation. On my tube I use 3/4" foam. Sorry don't know metric. I spray the back of my mobo and nailpolish the front. Make sure to seal around the caps real well. If you get a lock up and need to wait for temps. to drop anything nearby will have condensation on it. I would worry about the metal brackets they will surely be covered in frost.

    Looks good hipro!
Nice bracket. Can't wait to see what a true intel master like yourself can do with that chip.
Hopefully your chip will love the volts, because those are the ones that usually scale well.

Thank you guys for the tips.........

I'll test on P4C800E-Deluxe which does 277MHz 1:1 with the BH-6 benchable 3D..........and with an expected ASUS P4GD1 mobo.....VGA's will be X800XT-PE as for the AGP which does 780MHz core and 702MHz rams on a prommie with R507(on the cascade it should do better) and - for now - 7800GTX and later on X1800XT as for the PCI-E.......I'll see what I can do......
After that, LN2 will freeze the Dothan and a cascade the VGA......
    I'm almost prepared........I have backup mobos if anything wrong happen(hope not)......2 x ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe, 2 x ASUS P4GD1 and 3 x CT-479 adapters......

@ harleybro yes I think I should put some insulation on the front of the mobo around the socket as well........Thanks.....

@ k|ngp|n yes I hope my chip could do well too.......We will see.......

Just remember, that aluminum will act as a cold conductor when your ln2'ing. Make sure you insulate heavily between tube and bracket.
