DFI LP nF4 7/2 NEW BIOS

this is the alpha stage bios for E version cpu , ddr speed higher than htt bus ... it's not completely tested . so use it very carefully . if you fail to boot after bios flash , try to clear cmos or press/hold the insert key and press reset button to reset the system ... The system bios will automatically hide the non-functionable ddr divider/multilier depend on the cpu clock multiplier selected

    702-1

    702-2

    702-3

    thanks OSAKR

I have been out of the cpu revisions for a while, which CPUs do the memory multis work on?

Venices and X2's I believe would be version E's.

Umm... Any ideas as to why the 702-1 & 702-3 are listed under the same name when trying to d/load them??

Will give these a shot a bit later...

Just waiting til my 48hour of Prime95 + 1hr loops of 3DMark 01SE/03/05 & all SuperPI tests prove to be stable... Using 623-2 bios ATM...

Hopefully these new bios will help my PC3200 GOLD out as the last few haven't been stable @ 240MHz like the 510-2/510-3 bios was...

BTW, stable to me means 48hrs+ of Memtest86+ standard test stable with 50 loops of Test 3, 5, 6 thrown in the mix as well...

I'll be back to report my findings with the 702 bios...

    Cheers,
    Minh

    @Dumo

Hmm... On my SD 3700+ CPU-Z won't recognize mem dividers 233 and 250 at all... Those two fileds in Memory Tab are blank... and yeah, in A64 Tweaker div233 is 117 and I think 255 is 133++ Everest and Clockgen won't recognize mem frequency correctly, either... Looks like we need updates now

Also, WWM forgot to add that Oscar injected the latest Memtest 1.60 in that BIOS, just for "memtest junkies"

If you have a memory controller than can't handle running at high frequencies.

I don't really see the point though, you could just drop the multi on the CPU and keep the memory 1:1.

I would like to see half multis more than this.

That's very true... div233 and div250 are just for those that want/can only OC their mems... Like 200x10=2000Mhz DDR466 or DDR500. I don't think I will be using it but maybe some will
