Woot... will give it a shot... PCI-E was locked on all front before anyway so time to test how well VX scales on divider now

PS) Works wonderfully... will have to test to see if it goes over 290 now

This seems to concur with the warning you get everytime you run nTune which says something like the following: "Your PCI clock is currently set to track the HT bus. blablabla..."

Will this cause the inability to go beyond 240-250 HTT which has been reported by several users?

Have tried setting PCI-E bus to 101mhz when you start on bios? I just did it as precautionary measure as well as FSB 201mhz. It seems to be trend to unlock on many mobo recently if you don't oc it from bios slightly. Anyways, with 1003-03 or 1003-04 bios, I haven't seen any unlocking issues Playing with many things now.... where is my mach II ?)

Trying to move the clock just crashes my Asus A8N SLI, and it shows the PCI clock going up with the memory - I didn't think it was locking! Not suprising I can't get past 230! I'm just suprised I have an O/S left! Thanks for the link though OPB!

Onebook, are you sure the PCIE-16x slot is being locked on the MSI?

Tried it with ALL bioses - 1003.004 doesn't agree with my system at all! 1003.003 is slightly better. I think both of my boards are RMA fodder - but for two of them not to lock?.... Must mean something.

    Hi,

Hey OPB are you sure this clockgen works well??

I am aware of the htt multiplier problem on my a8n-sli when you save and exit the bios (doesnt really save the htt) so I lower it using ntune to 4x and then lower the cpu multiplier using clock gen. Until then all goes well so I am at 10*200 then I up the fsb to 240 and it locks up my system. When I do the same thing using AI Booster everything goes well.

I am now priming at 10*240 with my fx-53 using ai booster, 4x HTT and it seems to work for now.

    Any suggestions??

    Ok, I see

The thing is that clockgen works for me after I make the settings using Ai Boster.

If I set 10x240 using ai booster there is no problem. After that I run clockgen and I can get the correct values with the pci at 33.33 etc.. But If I try to make any changes in clockgen it just freezes. So I am stuck using AI booster.

I remember I emailed him long time ago and ask if he also can have 1.27 CPUZ showing 1t or 2t CMD when showing the RAM timings.

    Thank you very much Cpuloverclock

1T / 2T would be nice.. I see so many people asking if it's 1T or 2T when a screenshot is posted.

Just so people don't think I'm mad, here is a screenshot of the lock not working. Note I had to set the O/C with ntune, as clockgen will just crash!

Hmmm this is most odd, I can run the giga -9 fine at 300*6 (wanted to test that the MoBo was capable) in the bios but ClockGen shows the PCI-bus increasing when I up the fsb....

    More testing required I think

    Hi,

Thats what I am saying. It seems that Clockgen works with the MSI but not the Asus.
