Good news for those who got Sub-zero problem on Neo2

Hi all, I don't know if this is gonna help!
I just MSN with MSI RD couple hours to discuss the subzero problem on winchester and MSI 7025(NEO2), he fire a " possible fix bios" would like to let everyone try, unfortunately, I don't have any neo2 handy so I could not test it all.

Here is the newest BIOS only if you got the subzero problem!
Also hope someone can host that also!

    Will try that today...

    I'm with 1.4B1, since 1.4B1mod and 1.5B1 weren't so good as 1.4B1for my system....

what i find odd is i've flashed my board with every single bios that is available and i STILL CANNOT get a temp reading thats even remotely accurate using MBM, Core Cell or anything else. it's driving me crazy as i had gotten used to being able to see my cpu temp on the MSI 875p NEO board.

I can get a reading of -151c though, now only if that were true i would be all set.

Onepagebook is it only recommended to flash this bios if you using phase setup?
    If so why?

ok so tried this last night - using a 3200+ Winchester/ Neo2 (Korea 4020) and the 1.51 bios.

No problem booting up and no freezing in windows for me at all - perfectly stable. I also took the opportunity to download the latest core cell and it actually reports the idle temp correctly (-30c) although as soon as i try Prime etc it shoots up to +53c immediately, so the temps are still screwy, but at least you can tell if the core contact is ok.

Well I can report back here sooner or later if one of 3 winchester that was supposed to arrive today (they rescheduled it for tomorrow? -_-) fail to boot. Otherwise, it would be hard for me to even find issue as this winchester 3000+ is running fine sub zero (running @ 2.82ghz 24x7) But once those 3500+ comes in, I have feeling one of them might fail based on previous experience I had... than this bios will be useful

guys please don't just take my word for it since i really only tested the setup for a couple of hours, and so i need to do some more testing before I am willing to say this issue is 100% fixed.

All i am saying is that with the 3200+ and Neo2 I used I was able to cold boot fine, and more importantly cold boot after the hose was still cold, and I was not experiencing any freezing at all.

I didn't test the same combo with an older bios however, so it might just be i got a lucky board that would have worked anyway...

ALso, I wasn't able to confirm the Mach2 temp since the LCD was reporting "bootloading" rather than the actual temp - i need to reflash the firmware i think.

ok I can post a core cell pic - you need to download this one here: http://us-download.msi.com.tw/suppor...eCenter_MB.exe

This version also reports the voltages correctly as well, but the system temp is still wrong, mine shows 12c

Ok I tried this BIOS with my Mach2 + FX55 to see if I could get better temp readings. I flashed rebooted and temps were still incorrect. So I shutdown and took FX55 out of the Mach2. Now that it is aircooled it will not boot no matter what. Reset BIOS, moved RAM ect. Chip does boot on other board so it's OK. Any chance this BIOS will only boot at neg temps. I cannot put chip in Mach2 again now
