    Good one

I guess my air-cooling could put any LN2-run to shame too, LOL. I just need to open the window, it's -11'C here in Oslo today, but hopefully it will get better soon.

    Thanks guys!

I'm very proud of the stability test! 4,7 with less than 1,4V is great so far!

    6°C in the Wintergarden.
Hope for wednesday...it'll be nearly -6°C outside, so -3 to -4°C inside the wintergarden.
I have enough antifreeze protection in my watercooling system! And the biggest rad ever sold on earth!
That must be possible to reach 4,9 in Vantage and 5,1 in 1m.
    Hopefully I can reach 4,95 in '05!
I'll also get my 950 on wednesday, cause my board limits a bit

I doubt you'll reach the same results with a 950. I've had three and they have all been worse than my 920's

However, I wish you the best of luck!

My maximum with the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 is 21 x 219MHz = 4.6GHz but I need higher than 2.0 CPU PLL and QPI > 1.50v to be 24/7 stable. Temp is not a problem, core 00 while using linpack gets at maximum of 53c. I will do some extreme overclocking with this chip at the end of 2011, not now, I do not want to lose it .

It could be, but the batch is good! 5,7 ghz was possible!

Nice going, good luck for your next attempt!

( Somehow you get better responses here than on CB... But thanks for posting it over there, I had a good laugh reading the thread! )

Great work, Em. The critical thing to remember is that clocks and other data mean nothing unless core temps are included in the screen shots.

    Which one do you mean?
The temps @ Vantage hadn't reach any higher than 70°C and in 1m just 38°C!

I was using your post as an exampe of the right thing to do.
The whole idea behind OCing is to show the quality of the chip in terms of AC characteristics. The higher the temp for a given clock, the better the chip. For example, had you not shown your temps to be in the 50C range, I would have assumed your core temps were around 0C. An average chip can do 5Ghz if you get the chip down to 0C, so no big deal. To pass prime at 5 Ghz and 50C, now that's impressive indeed.

Amazing results! Its -5ºC here in france in my location, i could try out my E8300 and E8400 again, could not pass the 4.3ghz in liquid cooling cause of the heat ( i made it when it was 35ºC outside eheheh).

But work dont give me time to spend in benching my rigs. :S

    GZ again!
