First thought is wow thats a High Default Voltage.. Then when i looked at my Idle in BIOS with FOUR cores @ 16c. I was like this is gonna be fun


Also these are Not PHII(DENEB) althought you can get some AII with CACYC . I really wanted to see what a true Non Deneb does (Especially C2).

Stepping of C2? I know i thought wow isnt that Deneb only. So how can they have the Same core Stepping if the L3 is actually missing from the Silocon on AII?

Yup,, Im going through Bios ATM ..
Trying to get used to what this one needs voltage wise and 1.4v+ at default is funny for a X3.

Also so far ive only been able to sqeeze of 280htt because of the DDr2 Bios F8..

Ill know more later. This chip is for a back up Pc so if it dosnt clock good it will still be happy in my HTPC for the front room.

280htt..Trying several Bioses..F8 is a little buggy and the F9 has issues as well ATm. It could be the chip, but all these freebies with unlocking Mobos has me spoiled

Auto for now with Hybrid F8 is most stable.
F9 is harder to manipulate Ram and HT multi . May be a bug or two. But im not done.

My first screen was just to show that it will unlock on the Mobo and that the Chip makes for a nice Under $90 buck X4core I went with it because of the default of 2900mhz.My HTPC will use it as a fourcore since i couldnt get a 435E like i wanted..

A year ago there wernt enuff good low budget chips , Now im going chip crazy

Update The Bios is real touchy , when using 8x HT and 400 ram Divider it wont boot but when i lower or raisee the HTT above 230 its fine lol.
I hate Bios issues but slowly this is where im at after figuring what HT not to use..Ive gone up to 280+ but am still raising the ram and then i will test NB and soforth.

@ 1.56v X4cores...Its still hard to imagine the CPU idles @ 18c with Dual tripples and 1.56v lol.
More Volts to come.

Interesting how this chips PROPUS C2 differs from a Deneb C2. Remeber This Chip is a (CADAC) NOT CACYC(Deneb)So it will take a lot of Juice compared to the Deneb C2.

So far 3300-3700mhz is 1.567v..with 1.2 on the NB..

If using the F8 Bios do not use the HT X8 multi .
Results in a no boot when using the 400ram divider. it is fine when using the 1066 divider ,but then your HT will be very limited..

These chips clock ,just like Old School X2's ,except you can play with NB too.
Its a huge improvement over regular X2's hands down. Never though id play with any Athlon since the 6400+..Boy was i Wrong.



Now its starting to act like a PHII.......Still @ 19c Idle and 30c Load. Its really hard to image when my 550 @ 1.52volts runs way hotter.

I Shoulda tested the Low volt booting lol. But this is too fun ATM

My 550 and same thing... if i put in my vista CD i can Access the BootMBR which shows the drives are fine.. This all happened while using AHCI @ 280+.. I think i bprked the Lan and Sata controler lol.. 435 works in my M3A79-T alonrg with the 550 , so chips are fine. i was only pushing 1.575v and 1.2v NBvid..stock SB 1.28v and NBchipset was 1.3v


Trying to get my UD4P back .. if not , Now i geuss its time for Good Budget DDR3,, Budget Unlocking Mobo . I Guess i may get a XT UD4p or a UD5P.. Im not shure i only need one Vid slot anyway.. But want full OC features.


I kinda am hooked on Gigabyte despit what the mobo just did .. I was Using the F8 Bios and just before i booted it said Bios was corupt and i coulnd stop it. I was able to flash to F9 and it wont go past the DMI load screen. It will hang as if the Satas no longer work. The EIDE works on my Back up DVD drive and a Buget WD40 gig HD with XP. But has no lan. Tha Sata seems dead..

I know it has to do with the Bios. I even did a Reflash Backup and that dont work either .Man This Mobo has Seen 310htt With the 550 @4gig,It never dropped any drives ..Just wierd.

try different cables? sounds strange but i was having a boot problem that got to the point i wiped my vista install and put a fresh copy of windows 7 on and after i got it installed when it called on the HD it gave me the same error! i unplugged & plugged back in the SATAs a bunch of time with no change, but when i used new cables it booted right up. couldnt really believe i wiped my whole OS cause of damn cables

It wont detect anything AHCI not even in IDE mode. It only detects IDE drives.

Yeah the lan light stays frozen on green but no Orange light action at all, no action. The Lan went then like four boots later i got a corrupt Bios,

Dual Bios flashed the Die DMI no boot dance in my face

I found my reciet, It is May09..I just hate RMA's.

Yeah I ran the Vista fix boot and it shows everything is normal. I swapped a few cables,, I almost Cleaninstalled the HD ,im glad i tried it in the M3A first lol.

LOL I was pushing 3 Ghz and 1230 on the RAM earlier today and corrupted my OS :P


Try taking the CMOS battery out overnight, for at least 18 hours unplugged then stick it back in. Sometimes it fixes things.

Saved it ...the 435 @ 280 corrupted the Main Bios and wouldnt let me give it a good flash.

After removing the Mobo and Rubbing an eraser on the Bios chips (outer contacts) its soldered in . I installed a X2 6000+ and reflashed the Mobo to the Origanal F2 Bios. The Lan and AHCI ports came back alive.

This chip had corrupted the Bios to where ports or devices wouldnt work and was passing DMI LOL.

Usually it the OS that gets Borked when a DMI problem come about or even a Bad PSU.

So after bringing the Mobo back to life I then reinstalled the The 435 @ 4xcore to verify that the chip in fact corrups things in the Bios when i exceed 3917mhz.

This only happens as the HTT goes above 273+.. I got lucky with a 4gig run then it quit,, becuase of CPU Bios Problems i now want to push this chip in X2 mode .

Pretty shure its because i unlocked Another core and am asking for a 60% OC @ X4 @3900mhz lol.


The Bios just dosnt like taking the HTT up High with Four cores unlocked . Bottom line is that its fine up to 3900mhz(X4cores). If i go higher than 3900mhz on ANY BIOS including the newest ones @ F7/F8/F9 this will wig out the 435 unlocked.

Im gonna see what it does as a X3core before i put it in my HTPC.

More to come with the UD4p and this little gem of a cpu I hope

Now it may be a Challenge from a little chip, but to me its AMDfun just seeing what this thing will do in my hands.

Can you run and show final spi 1M X3 and X4 to compare the difference for me please? I was benching my 425 X3 and X4 B25 but with different motherboards (Asrock X4, Gigabyte X3) so I don't know for sure is it motherboard or ACC disable better score with X3, I think my chip was fully stable up to cooling limit X3 and X4 because score is similar and also different memory used...

screenshots for you to compare your scores with mine so if you can provide me feedback I will be thankful! I don't have that chip anymore to test it myself

Remember Im Using DDR2 @ 1100mhz or lower and about 2500nb max @ 3900 and below.

So far in X4 mode you are 1second or a little more faster with the Nice High NB and DDR3

will post soon.....Time for X3 fun now . I even did a good clean install so i can eliminate the OS as a bug for the Bios thing.

Im Also Using F7 BIOS NOT F8 or F9..

Seeing all my AHCI drop outs were on 8 & 9.

F8 is still best for the 550 X4 though

UPDATE: The AHCI and I/O's and Lan Drop out on all Bioses F2- F9 with a 435 when using Above 276 HTT...This is a Mobo Bios limitation not CPU.

Im Sorry Guys , it wont Raise the Bar More on this Mobo , i know if i try more ill cook the SATA and IO's on it.

Its a darn good CPU and Yes it dose have more left. Just not on this Mobo with a Locked Multi.


Ok this is funny 1/10 of a second gain for the( Freebee 4th core), But thats only Supi..

In realality ,as more programs open up or you download n rip , that extra core makes adifferance.
I just wanted to show that BL-C2 can clock simalar to the Deneb C2 ..It does.
The Lack of L3 is noticable if you are used to @ 4gig Denebs like i am .

X3core Vs the X4Core.
Notice X3 cores less volts and Uses Stock NBvid 1.17v instead of 1.2nbvid for 4xcores.

X4cores 18c Idle
X3cores 16c Idle both @ 22c ambiant. Chip sets are 26c on Mobo.




This little 435 tells a story. , If your gonna push it , Make shure you have a Mobo that can do at least 300HTT to use 4200mhz. Any less and well you just read the story.

How far does de IMC goes with these Athlon II? Since it lacks L3 can it go higher than lets say... 3000mhz on air? I own a athlon II 425 and my msi k9a2 platinum lacks a nb multi... so i'd like to know if i'm limited... the board easily makes 330htt.
So far 3.6ghz @ 1.36V and IMC @ 2670... on stock cooler...

It sounds like you got a good chip, my 965BE hardly does 3.65 @ 1.35v let alone with a nearly 2.7 Ghz NB.
