    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

    Wonderful update, Cpt!

I enjoyed your commentary as much as the photos. The rum photo is priceless! I hear ya on the "wow, this block costs more than I should pay, but I gotta have it" impulse buys.

Looks like they did a good job on that block though. I know the feeling. I been sending e-mails to local powdercoating shops about powdercoating my case with no answers.

The photos look great as always. Looking forward to more.

You are so right, but still think you are a good photographer

About the res, I think the XSPC looks really good and will go with the shape of the case, but if you are using a EK Multi for CPU loop I would say 2x EK might look cleaner compared to one of each

PS. I would kill for a nickel plated Heat Killer

Thanks for all the great feedback everybody!

Prime95 is still having its way with the cpu. It's like watching erosion occuring.

So I'm currently taking pics of randomness but I do hope to have more revelant pics soon.

Hi ward. Thanks for the feedback! Yes. It is indeed a Pedestal 24, so it looks like we may have similar builds. Do you ever feel tempted to use it as a skateboard? Like for just like a passing moment?

    Me? Nope. Ok maybe once.

Whoa ... nice shot. Love the background you're using. You know, we could save a lot of money if we gave up actually building the systems, and just worked on our photography ... hmmmmnnn (she says, dreading going back to priming and sanding).

Seems torture testing on air has had its run with the numbers recorded. I figured my next step was to cherry up the board with its accoutrements. Whoa. Big word.

The HeatKiller CPU Block being primed for its new home:

Backplates are for people like me who can't tell they've overtightened a block to a point where the board looks like a a bow-legged boomerang while proclaiming, "Hmmm. That kinda doesn't look right."

I could see the marketing ad now:
Backplates. Because motherboards aren't meant to fly back at you when you fling them out windows.

Somehow, I managed to get it right:

I made the plunge and bought myself a digital caliper. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. Just my first born. (I'm going to miss that kid.) (I kid.)

Now I find myself measuring EVERYTHING. Did you know that a miniature porcelain banana measures 22.3mm? or the distance between the spacebar and the alt key is 3mm? or that a bearded dragon's left knuckle on his third claw is 2mm wide?

    Neither did I!

The nickel plated HK Rev 3.0 in its new home:

Even with a few screws loose and some gentle prying, this uncooperative bugger refused to unseat.

Wine and soft music did the trick:

Cleaning house and replacing old furniture:

QPI Dream Power Card in its new threads:

After a few hours of screwing, measuring, cursing, prying, dropping, spilling, unscrewing, rescrewing, pushing, pulling, praying and remeasuring, I found it all worth it.

The EK mosfet blocks seated and good to go:

So I'm walking down the street minding my own business, right? Then this dude....this dude comes up to me and says, "Hi!"

So I say, "Hi!" right back.

    That is all:

I'm currently running around with a drill in my hand ready to wreck shop all over the case. It's a gorgeous day today and a great opportunity to make some noise with a few power tools.

As always, thank you for checking in!

You have the cleanest workspace ever. Not one speck of dust in those photos.

Either that or how many cans of compressed air did you go through? :P

I'm down to my last can However, having those soft brush thingies that the ladies use to apply make-up helps with the amount of compressed air usage. Apparently stealing the wife's is "wrong" or something.

Go purchase them at your local WalGreen's and have the cashier look at you strangely. It's funner that way. Plus you don't get yelled at by wifey.

Hey Skinnee! Did you know that your avatar measures 32.13mm across when displayed on a 24" widescreen Dell set at 1920 x 1200 resolution?

Looking forward to the Lapped vs. Unlapped Processor results! If you need help measuring stuff with a digital caliper, have your people call my people. We'll do coffee.
