Looks great. Nice alternative to a full cover block if money is tight and you already have a MCW60.

Would you guys consider this GPU cooler better than the koolance one for to the 285?

Ordered! In answer to your question Defratos, some people dont like the additional heat added to their loop from components, such as, memory and vregs that can easily be air cooled. Also, gpu only solutions tend to cool a few degrees better than full cover waterblocks.

gabe you should make a special part that makes it really easy to connect all the waterblocks with 2 - 4 blocks
its hard to explain but lemme see if there is similar part from heatkiller http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=25224
make it so that when you install 3 gpus or 4 or 2 you can use a D-link connecter to connect it without making the blocks full cover

This looks better than the GTX200 heatsink I have around here... that one was flimsy at best... very lightweight and a vrm spot was missing
But then again this one is practically 3 times heavier and better looking imho

Me: what PSU was that again?

Umm I'm not sure if you understood the questions correctly, I was asking if the Swiftech GPU cooler is better than the Koolance GPU cooler (as I am using the koolance one). From my experience the Koolance GPU block lowered my Idle temps by 5c which to me is amazing . So I wanted to know if the Swiftech would be any better

I'd be interested to know if it fits a GTX275. If so, consider it sold!

the GTX200 was our first forray into the unisink business. it was an off-the- shelf extrusion. Then we made the caldera for 4870x2, and it had to be CNC... horribly expensive..

The GTX285 is our own extrusion design, and we intend to re-use for many cards to come.

Looks great and KILLER price too! I like this route, instead of a fullcover requiring replacement every upgrade (expensive), just change the heatsink base (much cheaper, on the order of a couple ramsink kits).

If I had a 285 you bet I'd be on top of this

Glad to hear it! Too late for me this time around, but ever since the cost of full-covers has gone through the roof, I've been thinking real hard about going to core-only blocks next time around.

Will this fit the 275 or is that version on its way Gabe?

im still wondering why there isnt or hasnt been any ati heatsinks like this. i would really go for a GPU only block, most likely a swiftech MCW60, when paired with a matching but separate full-cover passive heatsink. unless i missed that explanation somewhere else but im fairly certain ive kept up...
    for the glory of bardob!

It probably has something to do with the fact that ATI cards don't follow the reference design more than Nvidia cards so it much easier to have a product that fits the majority of cards for Nvidia where as for ATI it would be difficult.
