    Hey Chew,

Very nice scores under DI. With Phase, I can only get about 4.8 Ghz. The chip seems to scale very well with colder temperatures.

LOL my DI pot is < phase, it's just a strong chip For refererence sake although you can't take it at face value My temp read in bios at boot up less than 15C air AOD reads 45C, max bios went down to for me was -82, We all know that max for DI is -78.5 now taking all that into consideration and taking a look at this my temps actually suck.

Referency for accuracy ( Lol at $15 harbor freight )

    Probe inside pot

Thought I might add this was a no Smoke and Mirrors OC, all 4 cores were at 5040mhz.

I think whats really important is that this was done with an average retail chip, not behind closed doors at a reviewer only showcasing by someone that has quite a bit more experience than me. ( that I highly respect and look up to )

Via a PM however it was mentioned that the source being trustworthy is worth more than the fact that it was done on an average chip.......Can't buy that with visa or mastercard.

Not cherry picked in any shape or form and not even a good batch #.

    chew*,

Very nice results and glad to see that part has come to something in its potentially very brief life on your bench. Good to see this kind of scaling (relatively early in the low temperature range - my scale just got terribly warped) on DICE. So on good retail parts the difference between -65C core temp and -185C is about 1GHz. We didn't get our phase system much past 4.5 but we haven't been working much (at all) on phase given the alure of an unlimited supply of LN2 in the back of the building.

These two points will be interesting to watch over the next 12 months.

I'm hoping to match Dry Ice results on a Rotary Single Stage I'm having built soon. I'm sure this will only get easier as the chip process improves.

I think it has more in it, a better pot, chemical that pulls a little colder than acetone. Hoping to be benching it @ 4.9 and screenshot 5.1, If the OC gods are in my favor Ln2 might be a reality ( need a dewar ).

I might note that I reran all air results after torturing the chip and am 100% stable at voltage and speeds still that were stable prior to torturing it.

My Igp is a tad worse for the wear but I was breaking futuremark 06 approved driver records with it @ 975/850 on Air

Wich techniques do you use when benching dryice? Using pellets or powder or big pieces? I assume you have to push the ice allot to keep temps stable with that pot? Any resulst you can share? (in case i overlooked them srry!)

    5ghz I like gratz!

10 LB block in a paper bag, paper bag in trash bag, trash bag in pillow case, get in fight with wife, go out and swing pillow case against ground until pillow case seam is about to rip

Powder DI, and just under slushy mixture so its boiling well. to slushy with the high pins = Bad.

Thats a swiftech chipset block I aquired some time ago on a used board I purchased. Base is preety thick.

This pot is tuned more for quick, cold temps, less for load.....Namely a great cpu-z screen pot.

I'm working on another Load version in the cheap as can be category

A good load pot has better mass, holds temps longer but doesn't get as cold or cold as quick IMO.

I took a shot of the mixture I think, didn't post cuz I overexposed it
