    My First Custom Window =)

Well, i originally decided i needed a new side panel when i started my tri-fire setup using 2 duo-orbs and a toxic (3870's).
i noticed my temperatures getting very high from all these video cards going full speed in games and whatnot.. =/.

    here is my old window...

and that fan there was pointless as i now rely on front to back airflow to cool my cpu...
I decided to make an attempt at my very first custom panel and i believe it came out quite well!

all i used was a solid black panel that i ordered from Apevia by phone for $15 (cut the window with a dremel)
    some Rubber Molding
and some Honeycomb Modder's Mesh (spray painted black and holes cut in the mesh to mount the fans)

i just bought the acrylic locally at ACE hardware and got the panel laser etched at a local hobby shop.
This window has been working great, my gpu temps have dropped by alot and no longer overheat! tell me what you guys think

All the colors aren't my thing, but the panel came out well. From the angle it looks close to oem but I can't see it straight on. Did you arrange the fans blowing out or in?

yeah... i like blue and green , and they can easily be turned out or in, but atm i have them blowing in because my video cards just didnt have good airflow to them before.

I was going to suggest blowing in. That has always seemed to give me the best temps in cases. After looking at the straight on shot I would say the mod is pretty clean, nice job.

You've managed to dump a lot of stuff into that case!

Doesn't your last 3870 bring your CF down because you have to match clocks but cant push that one as far as the better cooled ones?
