    Foxconn BlackOp first try! xD

Yeah... The Foxconn BlackOp is already a gem!

Boblemagnifique and I didn't expect a so friendly clocking board. This one is 'only' a ES one, and thus, it was a bit tricky to make it boot properly and to figure out what was working and what wasn't. But then... God! It climbed like mad!

Here are 2 benchies among those we managed to do.

    M/B:Foxconn BlackOp X48
    CPU:Intel Core Extreme QX9650 L739A643
CPU cooling:2 Stage Cascade "Petite Bertha" (~0.6bar evap pressure, i.e. -112C loaded)
    Memory:Super Talent PC3-8500F 1024MBx2
    VGA:Asus HD3870x2
    HDD:Western Digital 80GB
    Power Supply:OCZ 1000W
    Vcore:1.99V(Bios)
    OS:Windows XP Pro 64bits

I need to Vmod the VGAs in order to get better scores. Be sure that I'll.

And here are the pictures... I guess they aren't revealant because the retail board will obviously have a different look.

Thanks for reading guys (And many thanks to Shamino )

Nice board and nice scores bro....

Does the X48 feel better performance/stability wise compared to the P35/X38 ? I dig those bent caps by the cpu socket....

Hehe, those vcore filter caps that are soldered in in parallel by hand look really nice.
    It's a 8 phase digital PWM, right?

    Nice results!

I think this would be my next board.

Can you make a bios screen? It is comparable with the Blitz Extreme?

Here is the motherboard. Nice layout around the socket. It's easy to insulate.

Here is one result by me. I need to get another pair of DDR3, cause I couldn't change any memory settings or the board wouldn't boot

I also have an early sample, so it is no surprise.

You are as good as your samples are!

Tempting, looks like a well laid out mobo apart from sata placement.

    Any idea of release date?

The Diviser 1/4 not functions , strapp 266/333 is better for the performance (not different with 400/450)

    I test the Kingston 1800 & my Supertalent 1800 , max 700/720mhz DDR3 , yet a problem with the overclocking DDR3 i think

    The Gskill don't use D9GTR but D9JNL i just test under the Msi of Before , don't boot a 850 c7 a 2.1v i believe

Memory isn't a 'real' problem I guess. I mean, not for the retail board.

Guessing, actual matter is the locked MCHBAR. On-the-fly adjustment cannot be done (even with memset, or a registers editor). It might requires electrical reboot and thus memory timings cannot be tunned under windows.

Additionally, dunno how the bios of this ES board try to set timings, but it usually results in no boot condition (not for all the timings). May be there's a need for an electrical reboot here too. Really dunno

Also, actual bios lacks of SPD reading ability (once more, that's my own guess ); it seems to try the same settings for any RAM modules.

Anyway, this looks like a bios issue. Not very surprising for an ES board.

Yes for a Mobo ES, its performing very well for the cpu, there are some problems with DDR3 but I think the engineers and shamino will work over before the release to the public

I still remember the First P35 ES (P35-DQ6 and DS3) by Gigabyte, max fsb 350 and the memory has hardly 500mhz, it's much worse !!!

The socket area looks very promising, clean as we always wish them to be.

    Not bad your achieved results.
