    hope this helps

The mainboard favored by AMD, the MSI K9A2 Platinum is impossible to get currently since it is out of stock. MSI confirmed to DailyTech that this board will start shipping again next week, and that the board itself is not with any defect, but just in high demand and low availability.

I had a choice of both and chose the MSI board. YMMV.

    Wink

Is there any reasons why people here prefer the MSI over the ASUS? Is it because MSI has SAS controller and lower price?

i think its a mix of that.
overhere the MSi is some 40 euro cheaper and seems to be a good clocker and delivers (asfar as i know) the same onboard stuff as the Asus.

So u get a equal board for less money. the leftover money u can spend on your girlfriend or buy an extra 2GB of ram.
