    Unhappy QX9650+DFI LP P35...don't work

    Received today my Yorkie.


    This is a fast test made by my friend under liquid before to send the chip to me:


    Today I have immediately put the York on my DFI P35 with the new bios 1107that support microcode for Yorkfield/Wolfdale.
    I start the "on button" but the mobo start an infinite looping restart every half of a second
    Try everithing but nothing work.
    Also the diagnostic led is always off, no one visible code
    Can be a mobo problem or a cpu problem?

    My rig is:
    QX9650 Try L739A664
    DFI LP P35 bios 1107
    2GB Cellshock 8500
    MSI 8800Ulta
    Topower 750w

    I hope that's a mobo problem, friday I'll receive from a friend an Extreme Formula SE with bios 802
    He has already tested with a York and all works well.

    Try 10/5/07 Beta its a better Bios anyway!

    i don't think it was DFI ,1107 works fine for me

    glad to hear cpu not the problem makes me wonder why PcCI2iminal not having the problems with same mobo though.

    Out of curiosity ......You did clear the cmos properly before the Processor change out right? Also did you re seat the CPU in the Socket itself?

    The time it's not amazing, not used eram and no max mem, only cpu brute power
