    GA-P35-DQ6 overclocking results / discussion

For the people who own these boards, how how are you able to take the FSB?

I was able to do 500MHZ FSB 1:1 with 4X1GB perfectly fine. Which is something neither of my P5B-Ds were able to do. I tried finding the Max FSB last night but couldn't pull more than 520MHz without it locking up within a few seconds of Orthos. Although I tried with 4 sticks of ram.

So people with this board, could you take it much higher than 500MHz FSB?

Same here. Can't get over it with mine either. My memory can easily do it.

I'm currently at 450x8 on an E6600, which is technically 506.25 due to the 9x default multi. Haven't really tried for higher though.

Edit, what I would really like to see on this board is both a bios and a piece of software that will display accurate voltages.

and an explaination of the Ram timings!(I'm new to intel and DDR2)

Drop multi to 6, run ram 2.4v 5-5-5-15, max out the mch voltage, max fsb voltage, vcore probably 1.5v+ (even though the cpu speed is low, still needs decent vcore for high fsb) active cooling on ram and northbridge.

Well I'll be installing my watercooling tonight/tomorrow, we'll see if it helps at all.

I bet he is using LN2 too. What is the highest on aircooling without mods?

Nice, how about sharing your setup (same as sig?) and BIOS settings? I am struggling at 475FSB with 4 sticks presently.

    Ya rig is in sig....

for voltages the only things i increased with FSB voltage + MCH voltage. Both by +0.1V. Ram is running @ 2.25V 4-4-4-12. All other sub timings are stock. for cooling all is stock except I have an Antec SpotCool over the ram on high speed (very nice little thing) as with 4 sticks they are getting quite hot.

Its the ram. I can run higher on any 2 sticks, but when running 4, can't hit 1k

BTW does anyone tried to check the influence of option 1 and option 2 in the bios (it changes the subtimings, I guess)

I've used 3 different sets of D9MGH, with no problems at all.

It does have 4 eSata PCI through PCI slots though if neeeded.

yes i know, but i'd have prefered at least one connector on the back panel

any of you aircooling this mobo? This is my first Intel mobo in a long time and was surprised by the presence of a 4 pin cpu header for my 3 pin Ninja B fan header. Can/should I still plug the 3 pin into the 4 pin header?

    Thanks
