    E6700es @ 1.57v/4.8G with DI cooling on Giga Dq6

    Conroe E6700es B1
    Gigabyte 965p-DQ6 C1 stepping
    Micron DDR2_667 1G*2 with ECC
    RaptorX 150G/Zippy PSL-6701P
    --------------------------------------------

Gigabyte Dq6 is sux, max vcore=2.3v in bios, can boot up with 1.7v or maybe more.
but...you cannot set a high clk in bios and made the mobo start as normal.
the worst thing is, I can only overclk Dq6 with Easytune5, clkgen 1.05 don't work.
but ET5 seems won't let u get vcore=1.58v+, or system will crash!

Even if the mobo has 2bios as giga claimed as a good feature, I found it very very hard to recover when overclk failed. but in fact, I do not overclk too much. 3.6Ghz may even have a "non-recoverable problem".
Have to take the battery out 'coz there is no CLRCMOS pin on the mobo. made me feel really bad.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I bet it's a WR E6700 if I make this DI journey on Asus.

1.58v set in ET5, actual vcore=1.56v(read by melemeter)
DI cooling, temp= -45c idle. ( DI's quality in Shanghai always bad, I've get used to that. )

4.64G pi_1m, should break 11sec if on asus with higher ram clk, but... never imagine that on Giga

    -----------------------------------------------------------

max cpu clk I've reached on the mobo. 4800mhz

if with a asus mobo, easy to break 11s with 4640mhz+
    especially u r a E6600 with 516fsb @.@

If I have ur cascade, I think 1.57v will benchable at 4.8Ghz

no no, of course I'm not suprised by the vcore u guys used.
I just wish DQ6 can have such high vcore and effectable

I'll try to get a C2 P5B DL and will try this E6700es under DI ag.
    waiting for my 5Ghz results

Yea, gigabyte is not as good as p5b dlx even on air. For example, I tried DS3 and p5b dlx and I could get 50-100Mhz more stable overclock on air, same hardware, same volts DMM.

4ghz 1.5V 32M on air is awesome chip, 5GHz should be possible under DI

sure I will use P5B-D as the final board for the chip. but will wait until C2
    I'll mod a all_alu-solid-caps P5B-D C2 mobo for a WR

this time benching on DQ6 is just for a stupid OC competetion held by Gigabyte, allows only Giga's 965 mobo

btw, I'll go to HK 3days later, any suggestion on some good place for us OCer ? especially some Shops , thx !

    thx guys,

as I mentioned DI purity in Shanghai is bad.
    about -55c (DI temp).
when benching, inside the pot bottom temp=-44c idle. -40c loaded.
