Why cant they just make a 100 % working board, so no mods are needed

I read somewhere it's actually a safety feature to droop. So it's done on purpose.

Nice work as always Kyosen. What BIOS are you using? I got 0065 bios from Asus with all working volts except for droop of course. V-core up to 1.7V which is too much anyway.

this is what i got on stock air hsf supplied with the chip

So am I right in assuming that this board is nothing special without all these mods? I was niavely thinking I would just be able to buy one, stick a Conroe in and overclock it through the BIOS without having to worry about so many vmods so soon.

Is 4Ghz+ not possible with this board then without these mods?

No, this is by no means a flame on the OP for doing the Volt mod. It simply makes no sense that one is still needed for these boards with such advanced CPUS.

Way to go PTJ and especially Kyosen. Man is thinking of buying a mobo and there are the mods, the test, what more can you want, except a mobo itself .

Now we have to hear some words of comparison with eg. BadAxe, Dfi...
