Anyone post up the eVGA SSC BIOS? My vanilla BFG OC GTX 285 isn't hitting these clocks, blackscreens in 3D when I try 1650+ shader or 780+ core, though it can hit 3ghz memory happily. I want to try flashing it and see if it improves... think the rumor of voltage adjustments in the eVGA SSC are true. PM me and I'll send you my email if you can please .
Sorry guys, a BIOS won't help you any... There is more to the SC and SSC cards than just a BIOS tweak.

I had a seriously overclocked 280 pass through my hands a few months ago... it ran a lot hotter than the other 2 (slightly overclocked) 280's I had in for testing at the time and the fan programming was different as standard so I guess the top cards might be factory vmodded ... that would help explain the stupidly high ram clocks some testers are getting with some of the 285's...
No panic guys... MVK will probably have it up in a few hours...

I flashed the BIOS with an SSC one on my BFG OC and it did NOT overclock any better... something may be different hardware-wise, would love to hear more.
EDIT: I'm topping out stable at about 720core/1566shader/1485ram upon testing with either BIOS... after full stability testing. So, I'm really wondering if this is true... may go for an SC or SSC if it is.

Yup. I was just wanting confirmation as well... I just want to hit 1700 shader then I will be a happy bunny!

Jakup = eVGA product manager someone said? Is that correct I assume?
(Not that I expect an answer on this one hehe but...) is the SC the same as the SSC hardware-wise but for the testing and binning?

After looking over the PCB's with high-res newegg pictures, I see there is indeed a different PCB revision for the SSC than the other GTX 285's (which all have the other rev.)... . The SC and SSC show the same revision... 4908, whereas the rest all show a 4808 number at the bottom left of the shots.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's my power supply heh... Corsair HX 520w running a GTX 285, Q6600 @ 3.2, 680i motherboard, 4x2GB (8GB) RAM, 5x 120mm fans, 2 hdd's... because it just drops video signal when it crashes, no artifacts or the usual hard lock with the frame frozen on-screen... any thoughts?

Nice, almost the same (GPU) score as that setup with HD4870 X2, seems these cards fly at shader 1750MHz+.

Very nice indeed... . I just wish I knew if it was my PSU or my card holding me back, before I plunk down cash to check for sure which way. Anyone have any thoughts?
