If the power plugs were at normal place, there will be some problem with the blower fan, no ?

i think it looks quite dumb with the connectors there
and were only talking about 1/2", so i think they should have just moved the fan inward and shrink the heatsink by that 1/2" if needed

There has been some interesting decisions made with this design.

The PCB ends there, there isn't anywhere to move the connectors.

one photo showed the naked pcb with connectors pointing out back
another showed them up top with a fan after it

one of those is normal, one is a bastardized solution to get hot air out of the case by using more noise and much more space

Talk about cutting things down to size...

Hopefully the smaller pcb and layout didn't result in to many sacrifices.

Looks like most, if not all, is up front by the SLI fingers.

About ing time they cut off that mostly unused PCB space. I wonder about the cost savings. The VRM section is next to the HDMI, DVI, etc. ports, like in the HD7870.

I love what NV is doing this generation. Their chips are still inferior to ATI's efficiency wise, but a lot closer than in the past, and the rest is just perfect.

Yes, you did. I said ATI's chips, not Tahiti. Pitcairn beats GK104 in efficiency, by a fair margin.

    Today if you're in Australia

Interesting on the PCB design though, could cram a lot of these on H20 into a smaller case.
