need vtt/vdimm mod for the abit an8

    hi!
im searching for a vtt and vdimm mod for my an8.
vdimm should got up to 3,2v (vtt 1,6v).

i took some pictures from the places where i assume the voltage feed for vtt / vdimm.

feel free to ask me for measurements or if you think something is missing.

I think the W83320S is the Vdimm regulator, but I can't find the datasheet for the chip. I will email winbond to try to get them to send the datasheet to me.

heh...i highly doubt those are for vdimm or vtt, peel the sticker off that uguru chip and tell us what it says Or post a full board pic for me :P

I measured vddr and vtt at that little 2.0 amp ddr bus termination regulator that can be found in his middle pic in between all those caps. What really needs to be done is a vtt mod as vddr can be done easily with a cap mod. Here is some info on that chip and voltage readings I have taken off of it.

that is written on the µguru chip:
    winbond
    w83l9500
    243325202
    441acsa

i will post some hires pics from the chip in the next hours.

Can you check that the line that says W83L9500 isn't W83L950D. This is the closet thing I've managed to find to the part number you posted . The uguru chip, whatever it is, is too far away from the Dimm slots for it to be the dimm regulator IMO.

I'm having a problem trying to get the datasheet for the W83302s, which I think is the Vdimm regulator (see this thread as well). Would it be possible to get voltage readings at each of the pins on the chip so that I can try to work out which pin might be the mod point. I've also posted this in the thread I linked to above as well, becasue if I can get the voltage readings from 2 different boards using the same chip I should be able to compare the voltages and find the right point.

    on my way.

    edit: results:

measured it twice to check if its correct.
    12v was at 12,18
    5v was at 5,12
    3,3v was at 3,39

    Thanks for the readings
I think I know which pin is the mod point, but I'm going to wait and see if rav286k1 comes back with the same voltage on the pin that I think is the mod point.

Edit: What was Vdimm set at btw?

    everything @ stock. iirc 2,6v.
i do not have a working graphicscard at the moment.
my x850 gets the vgpu atm. just have to find the time for it.
i will chek with a pci graphiccard asap.

so i hope i get this right.
i have increase the resitance @ vsense to get a higher vtt?

Thanks for the pin-outs tictac . I think that Vtt should follow with both the W83310S-R and the W83310S-N, so I think it should be the same for the W83310S regulator.

@masterpain, can you check the resistance between the pin I have marked and a Vdimm read point (ie. pin 7 on the Dimm slot), and the pin I marked and ground. I think this is the correct mod point, but I'm not sure.

    Hi Persivore,
as i told you in my post, tomorrow i get voltage reading for each pins of chip.
    Many thanks for your efforts.

    Hi persivore,
    here my voltage reading...

first the 83320s chip near DDR slot:

and then the 83320s chip near Northbridge:

Hope this could be help you!
    Bye, Andrea.

Thanks for the reading .That resistance looks very high imo. I'm going to wait for rav286k1 to try a Vdimm mod with what I think is the correct pin before I work on more mods using this chip, to be sure that we have the right point
